I was also thinking about nominating the Sand County Almanac, Jennifer - especially after watching some video about him, brought on by reading the Dec. BOTM, Fire Season. Considering it's an almanac, starting it in January seems fitting. :)

Yes! As a citizen scientist who also contributes beetle observations & photos, I'll also be reading this regardless. My vote will be for this book.

I looked at your site, Lily, and I am in total awe. Thank you for your photographs.

My goal for 2015 is to start blogging about our ento discoveries and mini-travels to nearby parks and trails. This is part of why I've joined the Nature Lit group: to read inspiring writing and meet like-minded people.
I'm glad you reminded me about Diary of a Citizen Scientist. Even if we don't read it here, I've made a point to get my hands on it!
