A group has agreed on discussing The Hunger Angel by Herta Müller starting November 15, 2015. Link to thread: https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/...
Jasmine and I (I'm hoping to convince a few more friends) want to read Rikki Ducornet's The Fan-Maker's Inquisition: A Novel of the Marquis de Sade back-to-back with Angela Carter's The Sadeian Woman: And the Ideology of Pornography. This project will start on November 1 and finish around late December.
A group read of Almanac of the Dead by Leslie Marmon Silko is scheduled for November - December 2015. The discussion thread is located here: https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/...

I might give it a second chance.:)

Well, I have purchased Textermination, at least! Can we make this one for late November? Also, I really still want to do the Herta Muller. Would anyone want to venture into January for that?
Oh yes, and the de Beauviour triptych with Durconet and Carter is still happening too, except that I have been struggling to get hold of the latter two books. :(
No problem getting the Sadeian woman, but I cannot obtain the Ducornet unless I spend over £20 and have it shipped from the US, which I'm not prepared to do. I will be reading Carter regardless...

There's too many books scheduled for November. Can we move either the Herta Müller, and/or the Carter/Ducornet on for December rather, please?

When is this great event taking place? Will it be in a feminist context? ...or more a 'literature' context, or perhaps both?

She was also the writer at residence at my University a few years ago. I think it is mostly for the creative writers -- so more for a creative writing audience. The event is today.

I'm ok with moving Muller a little down the list, I'm reading pretty slowly these days! Also I daresay that Beneath the Lion's Gaze (scheduled for end of October) will spill into November as well.
