COVID-19 Read-A-Thon discussion

Well I just started reading harry potter today, I will definitely finish that and i'm not sure what else, ill just pick a book off of my unread pile haha.

First one, sadly it's the only one I own and I'm not a huge fan of ebooks. I read the whole series awhile back but I want to reread them again

I am on #4, and I love them. Had no idea that world existed!

My Reading Goals for our #24B4MONDAY:

*Read the next 65 Potter Pages (I read a chapter a day with some people); and
*Read the next 470 pages of Game of Thrones.

So, 535 pages before Monday, and I am READY!

I love this idea and I'll totally be participating. I don't know if I'll succeed, but hey, we don't have anything to lose :)

I look forward to them every month, and am scheduling less and less things for those weekends!

Goals:

- 15+ hours of reading
- Finish ‘The Raintree Trilogy’ (297 pages remaining)
- Get 1/2 way done of ‘The Guardians’ (204 pages to goal)
- Start ‘Five Feet Apart’

Thank YOU! I been a little too cozied up today with my book. That is my month long plan for these 24B4 weekends, except I do not feel like I really earned it this time!

I only read an hour and a half today, not really sure i can make it for a full 24 hours in 3 days haha

You got lots of time left Kat! As long as you’re enjoying yourself then that all that really matter 😉

Amanda and I know one person who makes the 24 hours (does he?). It is just a fun and crazy goal. We are here to support the studies, she will tell you!

Every goal is personal, and worthy. No way I am getting 24 in, either. I just use this particular weekend as a time to turn inward, and give the books a better spot on my To Do List.

I'm going to try to finish Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. I've only read 2 chapters over the past two days which is really bad for me so I want to have a little readathon boost!
- I want to read 12+ hours in the 3 days
- If I finish HP I really want to start A List of Cages :))))

Thanks girl. I appreciate it. I'm still working on "Freeman" by Leonard Pitts Jr. It's a historical fictional novel about three main characters in Civil War times. It's been tough for me to keep with it but I really want to. I've already read two of his other books and they were tough too but I finished them because I liked them so much.

Friday: 84 pages & 17% e-book
Saturday: 97 pages
Sunday Target: 320 pages
Sunday: 70 pages

Achieved: 251 pages & 17% e-book

I lost my page count, but my hours came in at 13. I love the breakdown, keeping better track next month! Thank you to all!

I only read 100 pages, but at least i stared my psychology report! :/

I'm about to start reading A Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur's Court by Mark Twain

I'm currently reading children of the mind by Orson Scott Card so I'll read that for this

What is your goal to finish those books? My goal is to finish The Other Black Girl by Saturday; I have 220 pages remaining, and it is light. I am also reading and listening to the third Game of Thrones book, but that is more for some points during concurrent ReadAThons.

My book goal is to read 45 to 100 books before I get new books to read
