Dariana Atanasova (chaotic-aesthetic) | 89 comments Hi everyone! Some of you may already know that this year's O.W.L.s read-a-thon is taking place in 5-6 days. It's starting on April 4th and 5th.

This is the link to the official video by Book Roast: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QRuZ4...

Take a look and tell us if you'd like to participate. From what I've gathered it's not mandatory to read Harry Potter books, but it would sure be enjoyable for a lot of people to re-read their favorites or even read the series for the first time :)

message 6: by Kat (new)

Kat Not sure if you guys are participating in this but I chose the career "Curse Breaker" That requires 6 classes which equates to 6 books in the month of April. I will share my TBR, i will list the class, the prompt and then the book

Ancient Runes, A heart on the cover or in the title: Paper Valentine by Brenna Yovanoff

Arithmancy, Something outside you favorite genre: How They Croaked by Georgia Bragg

Charms, white cover: Red Queen (Red Queen, #1) by Victoria Aveyard

Defense against the dark arts, set at the sea: Distant Waves by Suzanne Weyn

Potions, under 150 page: The Unofficial Harry Potter Spellbook by Kaytie Norman

Transfiguration, a book with shape shifting: A Court of Mist and Fury (A Court of Thorns and Roses, #2) by Sarah J. Maas

This is very ambitious idk if i can do it but I am definitely going to try!

Brittany Morrison | 5 comments I ended up choosing the Librarian career. O.W.Ls are:

Ancient runes (heart on the cover or in the title) Meet Cute by Helena Hunting

Arithmancy (read something outside your favorite genre) I am not a fan of self help books, but I'm going to give Girl, Stop Apologizing A Shame-Free Plan for Embracing and Achieving Your Goals by Rachel Hollis a try.

Defense Against the Dark Arts (a book set at sea or on the coast) The Unhoneymooners by Christina Lauren

History of Magic (about or involving witches) Equal Rites (Discworld, #3; Witches, #1) by Terry Pratchett

Transfiguration (involves shapeshifters) Soulless (Parasol Protectorate, #1) by Gail Carriger

I'm just seeing these comments, oops!
I finished my third book which falls under Astronomy. The two others fall under Defense against the dark arts and History of magic. I have one more to go (divination) to be an Aurologist! DATDA isn't part of the mandatory exams, but oh well, I liked the prompt

Which career did you choose?

message 21: by Kat (new)

Kat Cursebreaker but I am doing 2 of the seminars so i have to read 2 extra books which equals 8 in total. I'll definitely get the 6
