message 10: by John (new)

John Willis I am starting "Farewell to Mars: An Evangelical Pastor's Journey Toward the Biblical Gospel of Peace" by Brian Zahnd. The book was highlighted on 2 Podcasts I listen to regularly, "Jesus for Everyone: the Intersection of Faith and Social Justice" and "The Apprenticeship Way with Marc Alan Schelske. I am loving this reading challenge as it is encouraging me to read books that I have wanted to get to but just haven't made the time to get to them. I also love seeing the books that others on this thread are reading.

Sara Kreps When All is Said is a good book but a bit heavy at times. I highly recommend listening to it as it feels like your listening to a storyteller, not just a narrator.

Rebekah Gernhard (bekahgern) Bel Canto was a bust for me. I didn't like it at all.

message 19: by Kelly (new)

Kelly Green Hicks (kelly's bookish world) I haven't read that one, Rebekah. I recently read The Dutch House by Ann Patchett and I enjoyed it.
