Zephania walked up to the Subway. She thought back to when this place actually sold food, it had been her favorite place to eat.
Cassia raided through the cupboards, finding nothing much but some bin bags and plastic spoons.
Zephania looked around at the interior, catching sight of Cassia "You won't find anything" She said, leaning against a wall.
Cassia looked up.
"It was worth a try." she insisted, "Besides, when you're desperate... you will do anything."
"It was worth a try." she insisted, "Besides, when you're desperate... you will do anything."
Cassia knew she was wasting her time. This was the third time she had checked here in the past week.
"I know I'm wasting my time, but I have no friends, no family. I waste all my time."
"I know I'm wasting my time, but I have no friends, no family. I waste all my time."
Cassia looked back, and laughed ever so slightly.
"Hi. I'm Xav."
And of course she used her nickname. She always did.
"Hi. I'm Xav."
And of course she used her nickname. She always did.
Cassia looked at Zephania, taking in every detail. She rarely ever judged people, but she did this time. This was not someone to get on the wrong side of.
"Sorry..." she murmured, "I'm just carful about people."
Cassia placed her hands in her pocket and swayed from side to side.
Cassia placed her hands in her pocket and swayed from side to side.
"That's too true for my liking. Any family left?"
"How old is he?" she once again questioned. She longed to have family, so when a question came around, she wanted to know. Nosy? Yes... but with reason she would tell herself.
"I am sorry. I don't mean to be rude. It's rare when I come across another person," she wiped the tear falling down her cheek, "It sucks."
Cassia pulled herself together, mentally slapping herself. She needed to raid a hospital and find some medication. Stupid depression.
"He looks after you? That must be nice."
"He looks after you? That must be nice."
"You obviously know your way around though." she suddenly scratched the back of her head, embarrassed by her next question, "Do you know anywhere with food? I'm having trouble finding some..."
Zephania took off her bag that she always wpre, pulling out what food she carried with her. "Here, I don't need it" She said, having a rare moment of kindness.
"I can't take that. Besides, if I keep looking I'm bound to find something."
Cassia paused a moment. She thought back to what her Dad always said to her. She needed to earn it.
"No. I need to find it myself."
"No. I need to find it myself."
Cassia looked back at the food, temptation in her eyes. She looked back at Zephania.
"Please don't get mad."
"Please don't get mad."
Cassia opened the bag and took a bite, not caring what it was. She then threw the rest a Zephania. It was so good to eat something.
"Thank you... and sorry. I'm just trying to be friendly but it's not something I'm good at."
"Thank you... and sorry. I'm just trying to be friendly but it's not something I'm good at."
"I wouldn't worry. I've met far worse."
((How old is your character?))
((How old is your character?))
"I think that an annoying person like me is worse." She laughed slightly.
((Thanks!))
((Thanks!))
"Um... thank you?" she thanked, unsure if it was a compliment or not, "You're not so bad either. I like your hair by the way."
"No problem." she replied. Cassia felt happy to see Zephania smile. She twiddled around with her own, short hair.
((Sorry it took a while to reply!))

"Um... I live in an apartment. It's not very nice, no running water, no windows."
Cassia let got of her fringe and started tracing a dent on the wall with her fingers.

"I live in a crappy house, it used to be nice back before the end" Zephania said, as her hands sparked with lightning. "But it's home so can't complain"
"Oh my God!" Cassia gasped, startled by the lightning, "You have a power?!"
"That's amazing! Can your brother do that too?" Cassia was completely amazed.
"Must come in handy." Cassia said.
"That's the worse part. When you're alone in the dark."
