2015 Books!! discussion

Hello everyone!

This tread is for a spot to express any questions, concerns, or suggestions for the group.

Here's just a basic review of our current rules

~Please be polite and respectful.
~List any books you have FINISHED in 2015. This includes paper books, e-books, audio books, graphic novels, 100+ page short stories/novellas & any Children's books over 100 pages.
~You can post books that someone else has already posted.
~PLEASE no regular chat in the "2015 Books" thread as it can get confusing.

Any other "rule" suggestions are welcome.

I noticed in rule #2 that short stories/novellas and children's books have to be over 100 pages. This rule does not seem to apply to ebooks or graphic novels. Shouldn't it be 100 pages for all types?

Also how does one determine the pages for an audiobook?

Hey sorry it took me so long to get back to you! The rule is simply that the book needs to have some length to it. Instead of counting a 10-page children's book, we want it to be more of a challenge. Does that make sense?

Graphic novels and e-books are hard - because sometimes they're not numbered and e-books only show a percentage. Honestly, if you put more than a few hours into reading it, then feel free to count it - we aren't picky on this team

Same thing for audio books, if the print book is a longer novel, feel free to count it too! Does that help clarify a little?

So, of 84 members, 47 have not posted at all. Come on, everyone! We need you. Eighty-nine books to go before midnight!!!

Some of the books I finished reading in 2015 are: Is This Tomorrow? by Caroline Leavitt; Cold Mountain by Charles Frazier; Such a Life by Lee Martin; My Unsentimental Education by Debra Monroe; and The Great Gatsby (a re-re-reread) ...I read one graphic novel that was recommended, and it was well done, but it was not to my taste........Other reading was mainly research.

Are we going to have a 2016 Books!! Group this year?

I'm up for that. I plan to be much more reading focused in the next 12 months.
