Hi Cat, I think you can donate books to The Internet Archive, they'll do the digitalistion (wich can take some time but they're trust worthy), I never tried it (I live in North Africa!), but I found this option when I was looking for books that maybe I'd be interested in sponsoring, I thought that any book in their list would be available for that, but unfortunately it was not the case. I don't know about the shipping fees in the US thoughHere the link, so you can see if this is what you're looking for https://openlibrary.org/bookdrive
In case anyone is interested. The app/site Scribd has several out of print, or unavailable as ebooks novels scanned as PDF's in their library. I just peeked, and looks like there are two separate PDF's for the book you mentioned. They also have several regular ebooks out there that you can read unlimited. They have audio as well, but will cut you off after you listen to more that 3-4 for the month. I think it costs $8 month.
I have read comments on GR that Open Library only scans books that have donation of moneys as well? Not sure if those comments are reliable.
They do it more fastly with sponsored books I think (those with donations), for the others, you'll have to wait several months.

I am not sure what I am doing wrong but nothing for that book comes up. How do you do your searches? I searched by author, title, and both. I didn't find anything by that author at all. I'm not sure what I might be doing wrong. I have seen sites that show they have copies and when you sign up there aren't any. Are you a member? How do you do your searches? Thanks, Cathy.
Here's the page about making physical donations.https://help.archive.org/hc/en-us/art...-
I've emailed them before to ask if it's ok to order second hand books online and put them on the shipping address. But I never did receive a reply back. Most of the books I buy are in the US doubling the cost just to ship them to me.
I'm trying to be less impulsive with my purchases in the future. Watching ebay and visiting second hand shops. Oddly enough it's often cheaper for me to order from BetterWorldBooks than a Australian seller on ebay. But I have had some issues with BWB sending me incorrect books.
It's possible to find some reasonably priced books to sponsor on Openlibrary if you're willing to spend hours hunting. I would recommend not taking your chances with any Harlequin imprints though. They've been re-using old ISBNs you might end up with the incorrect book.
I have tried Scribd as well. The only book I could find is The Midnight Match by Zabrina Faire . Lots of books by Connie Mason and quite a lot of vintage M&B. It is difficult to search the site though.

It'd be great if this option is possible for people outside of the US, to buy books and ship them directly to the address given for donations in their site.

I just went back in and can’t find it. I searched quite a bit yesterday.. scrolling through the pdf’s... but I just went back and now I can’t find. I’m sorry! I should have saved it... or I’m crazy and seeing things. Which is completely plausible because I’m going nuts locked in my hubs and kids:)
Scrib has a lot of connie mason... both teresa denys pdfs are on there i believe and about 12 chapters of stormfire.

I might just donate some of these books to Openlibrary or do Dollarscan.
