After The End RP: NewTown discussion

Delilah was in one of the many empty rooms of the manor. She sat in the middle of the room on the dusty hardwood floor with her legs crossed and a gigantic book in resting in front of her. The title read: Mabberley's Plant-book: A Portable Dictionary of Plants, their Classifications, and Uses. It was her favorite book above all other plant books because it gave her so much information. Delilah had all different types of plants growing around her in the room. They were even on the walls and the ceiling. It was like her own safe haven. The outside world was scary and unpredictable. Here she had full control.

Delilah had heard footsteps but didn't bother to turn around. She knew by the way they sounded that it was Daren's. Besides, she was very busy focusing on her studies.

Delilah turned around, still sitting on the floor. "Yes?"

"Um.. me too..?" She said slightly confused. "I can't die in here anyway. Not with my plants and you here protecting me."

"Of course! Food is easy. The one I keep failing at is Aconitum. It doesn't want to fully develop for some reason.."

She nodded.

"It affects not only wolves," she explained, clearly excited to recite the information she learned. "It's very poisonous because it contains aconitine."

"I would never, but if I did you would likely notice. Aconitine is barely soluble in water."

"Like what?" she asked.

Skye came in, heading upstairs to her room.

She passed them on the way up. "Hey guys!!"

She gave him a quick hug. "How you doin'?"

"What's wrong?" she asked, a shadow passing across her face.

"Time? For what?"

She pulled away. "Daren!"

She wasnt laughing. "What are you talking about?"

"Daren..." She had her stubborn face on, the one that meant she wasn't going to drop it, no matter what he said or did.

She ran after him, serious at first but it soon turned into a game, though she was quick he was much faster than her with his long legs.

She heard a bang! and soon caught up with him, seeing him stunned. "Daren! Are you alright?" That had sounded like it hurt!

"Daren!!" she gasped. Oh no oh no... She quickly checked for signs of swelling, discoloration, or bleeding.

She started to relax when she saw there was no blood, but she ran back to where her sister was, slightly out of breath. Delilah was smart. She would know what to do. "Delilah," she panted. "Daren ran...into a wall...and he's unconscious..."

Delilah turned around and stood up. "Lavandula." She scanned around the room until finding the lavender plant. She cut a piece off and opened it to collect the oil in a little jar. "Come on Skye," Delilah said as she walked out of the room. "Lead the way."

Skye half power-walked, half ran to where Daren was at the corner of the hallway.

She knelt down next to Daren, opening the jar and poured the oil on his forehead. She then began to massage it in.

Skye watched in a fit of nervous anxiety.

Delilah waited patiently once finished.

"You ran into the wall!!"

She nodded, worried. "Yes."

She nodded seriously.

"What look?"

She hid a smile. "Why?"

Delilah watched curiously. "Running into walls... hm.."

"Daren!"

She caught it.

She bounced it back to him.

Delilah wondered where her other sibling was.

She smiled.

She watched it.

She watched him. "How's your head feel?"

"You took quite a hit."

She giggled.

"My plants work." Delilah announced proudly.

"Just possible irritation of the skin where it was applied since it was only the oil and you didn't actually consume the flower."

She gave him a weird look. "Do you plan to?"

"Ok good, because it could cause constipation, headache, and an increased appetite. Though, again, the possibility isn't high.It's less likely to get that than to get the irritation."

"Yikes," Skye commented lightly.

Skye raised her eyebrows at him.

She smiled.

"So?"
