Kelly Green Hicks (kelly's bookish world) For the month of May, we are reading a book set in your home state or region. This should be a fun category! Looking forward to seeing what everyone comes up with.

Sheri Howard I'm thinking I should read "The Underground Railroad" for May since it's already on my Want to Read list.

Rebekah Gernhard (bekahgern) I don't have a home state or region - I was born outside of the US and lived the majority of my growing up years moving around and living overseas. one of the places I lived was Warsaw, Poland. I loved living there so I chose Michener's Poland.

Kelly Green Hicks (kelly's bookish world) I am going to read Long Man by Amy Greene. It is a historical book in which the Tennessee Valley Authority is about to flood a town and a girl disappears. My husband has worked for TVA for his entire career, so I figured this would be a great selection.

message 9: by Sheri (new)

Sheri Howard Long Man sounds very interesting, Kelly. Let us know what you think.

Sara Kreps I'm going for Mayhem in Christmas River. I don't know that Oregon will ever be home but it's where I am now. And I'm trying to figure out in which town it's supposedly taking place; there aren't a great many in central Oregon

message 11: by John (new)

John Willis I'm reading "Jacksonland" by Steve Inskeep. it is about the appalachian area, the Cherokee nation, and a land grab. I am really enjoying it so far.

finished. I liked it better than the first book in the series. it's a cozy mystery that isn't specific to the area but throws in little things that make it fun.

Rebekah Gernhard (bekahgern) I really enjoyed my choice of Poland by James Michener. I hope I can visit Poland again one day!
