Venus sits down and watches kids play. It calmed to watch children play, even though she was afraid to talk to them. Or be by them. Or be by anyone. And know she was get depressed.
(( I thought she was in the forest? ))
It was getting late and most of kids left. Venus looked at the kids’ sad faces and she felt their pain. She hugged her knees as she realized she was terribly lonely.
Sky walked around, wandering. She saw kids running around and envied their innocence. Noticing another girl sitting on a bench, Sky starts to walk over but heasitates.
Venus whimpered realizing how big her own loneliness is, having not noticed the new person in the park.
Sky didnt exactly know why she was hesitating, just that the girl looked like she might need help. But it also didnt look like she wanted it. Sky stood there, half in the shadows as she watched her.
Venus gulped and returned to normal, looking perfect fine. She didn’t show any pain on her face and put her legs down. Though if you looked in her eyes there was indeed a terrible pain.
Sky was confused when the girl suddenly straightened and stiffened. She tapped her lip in thought. Sky walked over, ducking down to look at her face. "Hi....my name is Sky. Whats yours?"
"Can I sit next to you Venus, please?" Sky decided to keep it simple and hoped she wasnt scaring her off. If she refused, she was going to sit down anyways. Sky fidgited as she examined the girl.
Sky sat, her hands rubbing her knees. "What do you think of those kids?" Sky knew she had to tread carefully. Maybe if she didnt talk about Venus, she would open up.
“I feel sorry for them, they are allowed to have a good time only to leave.” Venus said her confidence growing a bit
"Really?" Sky looked at the children tackling each other above the shouts and laughter. "Why would you think that? Most people would just say the kids are noisy annoying things." She added. Sky kept her emotions on her face limited, her mind calculating.
"So? Theres no reason to be sad. Soon, they will be going home to a nice dinner with their family, warm home, and wake up the next day waiting to play with their friends again." Skys voice hitched but she hid it well.
"Sorry." She mumbled. Sky changed the subject. "So...why are you out here?" Sky looked down, almost hating herself for pressing Venus again. But...
Venus watched a child trip and fall. Her mask broke and a tear fell. She gasped and wiped her face. Before you knew it she was fine again
Sky frowned at Venus. "Whats wrong?" She looked at the kid who had tripped. Someone bandaged it and before you know it, is running again.
Sky sat there silently as she pondered about Venus. She tried to change the subject yet again. "You said you were in the forest. What was going on there?"
Venus shrugged, “I was really listening… a kidnapping? Anyway I left after I fell out of a tree.” She winced remembering it embarrassedly.
"Okayy" Sky dragged out the word. "So..are you a vampire or werewolf?" Maybe Sky could open her up with a simple Twenty Questions.
“Cool!” Venus nods then turns to the kids again. “Have you gone to any classes?” She was thinking about going to one but if it wasn’t safe she wasn’t going. She need more information before making a decision
"Nope, not yet. I am putting it off as much as possible." Sky laughed. "I dont really know anyone yet so...figured i would explore around first. You?"
“I haven’t gone to any either… I’m just… worried?” Venus wondered how she was able to talk to someone for this long.
"Worried about what? Homework? So am I...although i could probably figure a way to talk my way out of it." Sky snickered. "Do you know anyone? Friends?"
“You can never trust someone one…” Venus knew she was treading on something she shouldn’t, she was getting worried
Venus bit her lip, “People are dangerous. They could kill you… and to many people around you means you’re as good as cornered. I don’t trust people… this is the longest conversation I’ve had since I was 11.”
Venus was quiet, thinking. Could friends really protect you? “But what if they get hurt?” She asked worriedly
