I am going to begin as soon as I finish my current read. I'm actually excited that I was so easily able to get it this time!
I started last night. I only read a few pages, and while this is not something I would have read on my own, I like it so far.
Okay - I have read chapter one. So far my thoughts . . .
- I like the writing. It was very easy to get into. Also, he is setting up the world and the magic very well so far.
- Sexist stuff: Just my opinion, but seems pretty tame so far. I have seen worse in books geared towards Young Adults that are written by women. (Also, it doesn't seem completely unnecessary for establishing the characters and adding a bit of crude humor)

I don't think it does, but I may be in the minority. I am not easily offended. I can enjoy writing without liking the author as a person.
