What do you guys think about Clary?

clary is kinda annoying (since she makes a lot of rash decisions), but i can help but love her :)

This might be because I've only read City of Bones (and rated it two stars) but she is SO ANNOYING AND DUMB like Oh My God just shut up. Although so are all of the other City of Bones characters.

lol I love COB and all the ppl get better in the rest of the series. You can tell in CoLS, Clary does something idk if I could do, bc she had no idea if it would've ended well. She gets super strong and in TDA you see more of that strong fierce Clary

Everyones keeps going on how annoying she is. I don't see that. Is it because I've only read the first 3?

Personally I don’t find her annoying either, she actually acts very realistic

yes! a lot of people think clary is annoying since she makes a lot of rash decisions and she doesn't think it through, she just acts. but people should take into consideration that she is 16 during this book! clary is not my favorite character from the shadowhunters chronicles by a long shot, but she is still an amazing character

I'm just personally annoyed at how Clary was portrayed in the films. They did not capture her brave and feisty side for me.

It's funny how Clary is quite spontaneous and rash, like Jace, but them being together has forced both of them to be more responsible.

yeah, in the movie she didn't have the same personality as in the books, but i try to remind myself that 2 hours and a half is not enough time to devealop a personality as well as in a four hundred page book

I definitely loved Clary’s development over the series. She is, however, most certainly not my favorite character and I’m unsure how I feel about her. I do feel for her but my favorite characters are Isabelle, Simon, Alec, and Magnus, because (most of the time) they are unproblematic. I did not care much for Clary in the beginning but grew attached to her...not like how I was attached to everyone else, but still attached.

I mean, Clary's the protagonist, but quite honestly, she was also the hero/protagonist I liked the least throughout the series. She does have some pretty impressive character development though.
