No I don't like her. The boinking scene left a bad taste in my mouth. I was always curious why she came to rescue Dani. So I am suspicious of her. I don't know if she will become the next Fiona. Kind of too easy.
Yes I don't know if KMM will go the exact same way with Jo as Fiona. But I do hope Jo the Ho gets the RIP!
I think that Jo will become increasingly clingy as she notices the Ryodan and Dani connection. She was already all up in their grill, during the hoar king frost scenes - when dani got mad at her for staying with them when she wasn't useful.
It is also where Ryodan told Dani that Jo is her own woman! Barron's told Mac the same thing about Fiona! Jo was so happy about this but I think he just told her she is nothing special to him?
In Shadowfever there was talk about a Triton group.Barron's knows about them.Maybe they r hoarding the food as {We Care} Jo works for them?
There was speculation that Dancer might work for them. That's where disappears to.

Do you guys think that Jo will get axed in Burned (now that Dani's 19) or do you think she'll survive another book?

Whereas both Barrons and Ryo obsessively care about Mac and Dani.
See I don't know if it was a just a ruse to see Ryodan. I thought it was more. Like she was on a mission. One thought was that Cruce got to her before Kat and she is under his manipulations. I just don't think someone who didn't treat Dani as nice in the previous book would run out by herself to rescue her. Something is fishy with her story.

She was on that mission to collect intel from Chesters for Kat right? Yeah I could see her being Cruce's puppet. Maybe that's why Ryo is sleeping with her? So that Cruce doesn't? Lol.
Yeah, I agree it's pretty clear she doesn't care about Dani at all. I think Dani said previously that Jo used to treat her nice, but then she started hanging out with the popular abbey girls. And started being mean to her too. Obviously Jo is very heavily influenced by people around her, a bit of a sidhe-seer sheep. Lol.
He wouldn't sleep with her just so Cruce wouldn't. He is more calculating than that. He would use her to get information.
I originally thought Jo showed up to "save" Dani based on her being drawn to Ryodan, not because she cared for Dani. I do think she cares a little for Dani, just not a lot. It would be really cool if she had even more motivation to be there. It would make me respect her a bit more. I think it would be very unoriginal if she went the exact same way as Fiona. Hopefully KMM will do something different with Jo. I don't like her, but I feel bad for her since she is kind of just letting herself be used by Ryodan. Hopefully she can at least use him back!

Exactly... but that doesn't last! She is using him for pleasure and to "make memories" but she will just end up being discarded like trash. She needs to wake up! But if she was using him for something ELSE then that would be cool. What I hated most about Jo was how she changed her appearance for Ryodan. I mean, I love makeup and dressing up too sometimes, but it was kind of sad that Dani sees her get more and more slutty, then Jo starts sleeping with Ryodan. I am so glad Dani was just mad about it and not like, Oh well I need to get slutty so Barrons will like me! Dani is so much smarter than that.
True. I think she is there because of Cruce. Or Ryo is tricking her because she is good at translation or something. He might be mind f'ing her to get what he wants.Dani would be mortified to do that. If she ever does girlie, it will be because she wants too. Even then, I can see her squirming a bit over it. LOL.

agreed... I loved those parts in Iced where you see Dani from Christian and Kat's perspective. so awesome! too bad we probably will never see her from Ryo's perspective. now THAT would be enlightening.

I'm not gonna lie though, I'm always a little worried that reading the hero POV will be a disappointment. Especially when the author builds them up as these mysterious enigmas. (cough barrons cough)

Lol, I don't think that the Nine - or should I say 10. ;)- can impregnate human women. (Otherwise Mac would have been pregnant 5x times over and these guys would be drowning in paternity and child support claims. Cause I've never heard anybody in this book mention contraception. Like seriously can you imagine Barrons putting on a condom? lol.) I'm pretty sure that Barrons had his kid while he was still human. I'm not sure biologically it would be possible for Jo to be preggers. But who knows, this is KMM afterall.

That will be some serious bad juju!! Dani will not look at Ryodan as BF material ever! She will not hurt Jo if she is pregnant.
Yeah but the point is Ryodan can't get Jo pregnant! So if Jo gets pregnant, then it would be from someone else. Yeah Dani would never hurt a preggers woman but I wouldn't put it past any of the nine. They would kill whoever was in their way. Barrons was willing to kill Dani for Mac. I don't think Ryodan wants to have to hurt Jo but mostly because he wouldn't want Dani to see him do that.

The way I see it, there's no way that the Jo mess can be solved without Dani getting hurt. If he breaks up with her, she'll think he's a d*** for using Jo for sex. If he doesn't, that would definitely get in the way of her developing feelings for him. If Jo breaks up with him later, Dani would still blame it on Ryodan. If they kill Jo... well, you know what's gonna happen. Ryo clearly has to have foreseen this too. I still can't figure out why he did it. It's stupid.

Yes that makes sense. I just reread part of Bloodfever and at the part where Mac came back from Faery, Barrons was pretty out of control, what with his entire book store interior destroyed. Maybe Ryodan being super angry just had to do with his possessive tendencies, which is part of his animal nature. Like "How the f can something that is MINE not where I want her to be"
Yes and he and Barron's have this caveman attitude.{Me Tarsan you Jane stay!!! So not knowing where there lady's where or what thy where doing drove both Beasties wild!!!

And where the..."I think he did mostly turn to Jo as a way of keeping his sexy time needs in check. I mean the first time they 'boinked' was after he saw Dani nearly die and he was all shaken up.
Personally I don't like Jo and I do hope she gets the boot, I think she's becoming way to attached to Ryodan no matter what she says, and I don't see anything special about her that would hold his interest.
Agreed, Kristen. I think Ryo stayed with Jo to show Dani he could have more than a one night stand. He is thinking way long term.
Him continuing to sleep with Jo also solidifies his power over her, making Jo more likely to stay at Chester's, keeping Dani under a tighter leash.
But she had some good points and seemed alright at the end of shadow fever and the beginning of iced (with the phone breaking & being good at linguistics). Though she also said that Mac "had asked for it" (being raped by the Unseelie princes), and did not want Mac in the abbey during the first days of Pri-ya. And she also tells Dani that without her sword she is a nobody...
So do you guys think that Jo is on her way to becoming the next Fiona? Do you think that as a character in her own right she's likable?
