Elizabeth (mum2two) | 22 comments I am wondering if anyone here has read any of Paul Collins (or listened too) reviews or books. He is often on NPR. He is a history, Victorian literature writer. He is the editor for the "Collins Library" published through McSweeney's. The books are re-published Victorian era books. I just finished To Ruhleben And Back. He also republished: The Lunatic at Large, by J. Storer Clouston; The Riddle of the Travelling Skull, by Harry Stephen Keeler; Lady Into Fox by David Garnett.

Sixpence House is one of my 'comfy slippers' book. I absolutely love it! I love how he vears off on forgotten historical trails. I actually have tried to find a number of the books he's mentioned in it and other books he's written:
Banvard's Folly: Thirteen Tales of People Who Didn't Change the World
The Trouble with Tom: The Strange Afterlife and Times of Thomas Paine
Not Even Wrong: Adventures in Autism
The Book of William: How Shakespeare's First Folio Conquered the World

Darcy | 215 comments I haven't read any of the other books, but The Lunatic at Large is pretty entertaining. Elizabeth, did you like To Ruhleben And Back? Sounds really interesting.

Ellen (elliearcher) | 85 comments I've only read Not Even Wrong, which I loved.
