Post books you want to know if they are clean. If you have read a book that is listed please help us out!

All American Girl, By Meg Cabot.

Lord Momo, of the Momo Dynasty, Your Momoness (sirija12) Don't Nicola Yoon books count as clean romance?

message 3: by Ruby Rose, Small Blessings Count :) (new)

Ruby Rose | 1157 comments Mod
I am not sure. I have read 3/4 of her book, Everything, Everything. And it was definitely not clean (hence the 3/4).

Jia ♥ (bookloverforever101) Oh I read that one. It was good I thought it was clean?

message 7: by Macy (new)

Macy (maggieviolet) | 122 comments Well, there was borderline sex and lots of language, so to me it wasn't

message 8: by Ruby Rose, Small Blessings Count :) (new)

Ruby Rose | 1157 comments Mod
If there was then I wouldn't consider it clean either.

message 9: by Library (new)

Library Queen I haven't read All-American Girl, but I have read most of the The Princess Diaries series, and some of the books as it goes on does talk about sex. I can't remember which ones though.

I finished the first 2 as of this morning. I have no clue if it would be "clean"or "sweet" romance. It does mention it but it doesn't go into detail and describe it.

Audrey_With_Books (audrey_with_books_) | 25 comments Is The Fault in Our Stars a clean book? I read it a while agbut I don't remember if there was any bad language.

message 12: by Macy (new)

Macy (maggieviolet) | 122 comments The Fault in our Stars has some language, they talk about specific body parts a little, and there's one sex scene. It's still one of my favorites though.

message 13: by Rhea (new)

Rhea | 12 comments I have read All The Bright Places by Jennifer Niven. I read it like 2 years back and it's a really nice book but I really don't remember if it's clean or not. If anyone remember then please put it here if it's clean and you guys can read it if you want.

message 14: by Macy (new)

Macy (maggieviolet) | 122 comments There was some language, and quite a few sex scenes

Kacie has anyone read If I Fix You by Abigail Johnson? or any of her other books? they look really good but I'm not sure if they're clean.

message 17: by Kacie (new)

Kacie Oh wait...i think i actually started this book a while ago but didn't finish. I don't think it was clean.

message 18: by Monique (new)

Monique S. (monique1109) | 32 comments OK, so I was invited to this group and asked the person about what is meant by clean. Upon her reply I said that my novels won't qualify, but she said it was OK.

So you might say, that I will be the devils advocate here. I am almost 67 years of age now and I have lived a very different life to most. Apart from my obligatory service (general conscription) and being the managing director as partial owner in a company, I have not been employed in a fixed employment, ever.

I have also experienced a lot of intially semingly contradictory fields of interest, but in the end all that experience is flowing into my novels. Believe me, for me love without physical fulfillment is only half the job, but that is ME, as an individual, not a general rule. But it is what makes me ME. If that doesn't meet your expectations for this group, just tell me to leave, I'll happily respecct that.

Monique xx

Kacie, I've read Every Other Weekend by her and it was like 75% clean, there is a scene where there are body parts involved and some swear words. Other than that, it is kinda clean.

message 25: by Kacie (new)

Kacie oh ok. thank you so much!

Bailey the BookNerd (bn021206) | 33 comments Is the Bayfield High series appropriate? I just found out about it today and it looks interesting.

Monique S. (monique1109) | 32 comments If you are looking for clean romance I recommend Georgette Heyer, all of her historical romances are clean, due to the time they were written, but definitely good entertainig reads.

Jia ♥ (bookloverforever101) What is your definition of clean?

message 34: by Jia ♥ (new)

Jia ♥ (bookloverforever101) ((sorry my internet))

message 35: by Monique (new)

Monique S. (monique1109) | 32 comments A'layjia wrote: "What is your definition of clean?"

No sex scenes and all moderate language. Due to the time period these books are set in and the time the authoress was publishing it is all clean by anyone's standards. You can try Georgette Heyer's romances as well as her detectiv stories. And her female charcters are usually strong (sometimes unconventional) women.

 Jia ♥ (bookloverforever101) Thank you!

message 37: by Kacie (new)

Kacie Hey, has anyone read 100 days of sunlight by Abbie Emmons? I'm really curious about it and I'm wondering if anyone knows if it's clean? I read the content guide and the preview and it seemed ok, just wanted to double check.

message 38: by Macy (new)

Macy (maggieviolet) | 122 comments I haven't read it, but there was a girl in my comp class with the same name lol

message 39: by Kacie (new)

Kacie Oh really? That's funny lol. Well, I just bought it on amazon so we'll see!

I believe so

☀︎El In Oz☀︎ (elinoz) From what I’ve heard twilight the MC has a kid in the last book so I assume there is some sexual conent, but idk how much.

Is this book clean? Or does anyone know? I really want to read it but if it isn't clean than I can't. https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/1...

message 44: by Library (new)

Library Queen Hey, I am noticing that some of the books on the group bookshelf are definitely not clean.

Monique S. (monique1109) | 32 comments Library wrote: "Hey, I am noticing that some of the books on the group bookshelf are definitely not clean."

well, cleanliness is a matter of defiition, isn't it? I asked up front what the definition was, but it seems to vary.

Library wrote: "Hey, I am noticing that some of the books on the group bookshelf are definitely not clean."

I did too. If you know they are not clean and have time to remove them... please do, I think you can. If not just put it on the new discussion I will make in a second.

message 47: by Kacie (new)

Kacie Has anyone read A Quiet Kind of Thunder? I really really wanna read it but my library doesn't have it so if I decide to read it, i'll have to buy it, and I wanna make sure it's clean.

message 48: by Ruby Rose, Small Blessings Count :) (new)

Ruby Rose | 1157 comments Mod
I think it is, but my mom won't let me read it because she says some of it isn't. Although I haven't read it so I am not the expert.

message 49: by Kacie (new)

Kacie Hmm ok thanks. I found a free copy so now I can read it and if it's not clean, I wouldn't have wasted my money.

message 50: by Library (new)

Library Queen I removed the books I noticed were definitely not clean.

Monique, I think the general consensus was that if it had sexual content in it, it wasn't clean, but it was alright if the book had a little cursing.
