Robin Lang (robin_lang) | 2 comments Yesterday I finished Dear America: Notes of an Undocumented Citizen by Jose Antonio Vargas. I'm in the middle of the audio version of Nickel Boys by Colson Whitehead, which won the Pulitzer in fiction last week. I'm also in the middle of The Yellow House
by Sarah M. Broom, Lila by Marilynne Robinson, and The Ventriloquists by E. R. Ramzipoor about fake news and propaganda in Nazi occupied Belgium.

Nabil M | 1 comments I am currently reading Catch - 22. I’ve heard about this book countless times and have had it on my list to read for a while now. This is now the time for me to actually sit down and get it done!

Robin, sounds like you're like me - in the middle of several books at once! And finally getting to books that have been on my list for years, like Nabil :)

I'm currently reading Miracles and Other Reasonable Things by Sarah Bessey, a past Writer's Symposium guest. And I'll Push You by our alum Justin Skeesuck.

Robin Lang (robin_lang) | 2 comments Kimberly, I read Jesus Feminist by Sarah Bessey a few months ago and really enjoyed it. I'll have to check out Miracles and Other Reasonable Things.

Nabil, it's a great time to get caught up on reading. I haven't read Catch-22 either, and it's been on my list for a long time. I watched the first season of the Hulu series last year, which seemed well done, though I'd like to compare it to the book.

Bekah, I love audio books as well. I'll have to look for that title.

This has been a sad week and I'm also committing to do more to pay attention and continue learning. I picked up "White Fragility" by Robin Diangelo.

Robin: I read Nickel Boys earlier this year with my book club. I thought it was good, but it wasn't a crowd favorite. Curious to hear your take.

I'm currently finishing a fiction title, Ask Again, Yes which has been an excellent distraction and nice read during this time at home.
Ask Again, Yes by Mary Beth Keane
Chanel Miller's Know my Name is up next.
Know My Name A Memoir by Chanel Miller
