See, now, you're just rubbing salt in there...or salt water! It's in the teens, which the wussies here in RI call a "cold snap"....though the truth is, I don't remember ever being this cold inside a house in the 10-11 years I spent in WI; there's something in the housing here that's lacking.
Yeah... I was teasing you great white northern folks just a bit there. Sorry 'bout that. I couldn't resist. You need to pile on the quilts and the hot cocoa and find a good book to warm you up this evening.
I hope everyone up there and out west where it's also unusually cold tonight can manage to stay warm and safe this new year's eve.
Speaking of reading... I think I'll go stick my nose in my book, Boy's Life, and read a few chapters before Perry Mason comes on TV later tonight. :)

This one is just as riveting as "The Shadow", but it's YA. Really, really good!
I was hoping for a good start for the new year, but I've been sick with a cold, sore throat and sinus infection. The weather here has gone from the 20's to the sixties and back and forth.
I came down with something on New Years Eve. It has been beating the sh*t out of me since then. Today, I'm starting to feel human again. :)

Hope you all are going to start feeling better soon...love ya but don't cough on me and stay at arms length away until you're better. :)
Wow... this thing is really awful! Thought I had it kicked then ended up with sinusitis and bronchitis, but wait it gets better...I'm allergic to Penicillin already, but then I had a bad reaction to the antibiotic I was never allergic to before so had to stop and start another today along with an order for a chest x-ray for pneumonia if not better by Monday. What a horrible way to start the year! I hope you are all doing better than me!
Aileen wrote: "Hope you all are going to start feeling better soon...love ya but don't cough on me and stay at arms length away until you're better. :)"Thanks, am cold but healthy! Haven't been really truly sick, with the exception of a combination bout of Lyme/neuralgia, in about 5 years!

Sorry to hear it, we'll keep our fingers crossed that it's not pneumonia. Lots of fluids, lots of rest, and lots of reading! (that's the part of the prescription that I love.....:))
Truly Linda! That's two prizes so far this year...One good, one bad. I guess the universe really does balance out. lol The only silver lining was that I got my books from Robert and started "Souls of the Desert" first.
Thanks again Lilly!
Thanks again Lilly!
I may have to go back to the Dr. because my throat is still sore and I've got a sinus infection now. I hope everyone feels better soon!
Wow KC I really hope you feel better soon! Ironically this is the 1st yr in awhile I haven't started with bronchitis & pneumonia, I'm keeping fingers crossed it forgets me for once! But seriously, hope chest xrays are negative & you get feeling better. :)

I had a sinus infection over New Years. Hope you are feeling better.
I am actually ...Thanks...I stopped taking the antibiotics and mixed up a bath of Cayenne, Ginger, Honey and Cider vinegar with water and peen pumping up the zink and vitamin C...So far so good! I hope every one gets rid of this soon!
