Very good satire using animals and I totally can see America becoming like this

I don't think you can if you're using the app. Just make or edit your post on the website via the Safari browser. That's what I do.

2. The Atlantis Plague by A.G. Riddle

I enjoyed this scifi book and now have downloaded the 3rd book in the series to my kindle. Story line is strong 4 but writing style is a 3.

3. Villette byy Charlotte Bronte

Good Classical book Very wordy and could be shorten but the plot was good.

4. One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest by Ken Kesey

I reallyy enjoyed this book and learned a lot more than what is in the movie. Did you know that Jack Nicholson 's character, Murphy was a red head? Now I want to re-watch the movie.

5. Z: A Novel of Zelda Fitzgerald

Interesting book and looked up seveal infos to see if its true. Why did the writers back then all go to Paris?

3 stars. Not nearly as good as CeeCee Honeycutt by the same author

7. Hitler's Scientists: Science, War,andthe Devil's Pact by John Cornwell

Very good docuentary.! In fact its scary in how history is repeating itself. If you like history and science, you will like this book.

I think I tried reading Lawhead years ago and couldn't get into it.

OK - thanks. I'm happy that my library has this A.G. Riddle series. I think I will definitely get to it this year, probably within the next couple of months.

Hillary - lots of classics for you! Animal Farm continues to be one of my favorites, but I haven't read the Bronte.

10. Tumbleweeds by Lealia Meacham


Regardless of various posts... this is a stars. One needs to look at the story line vs tearing the plot down. Ok... I can concede to 4 stars but still think the star level is closer to 5. I was captivated. Yes I would love the ending to have been different but the author did a good job.

I gave this book a 5 star! Although there were some unrealistic activities (Most books has these), the main thing was it captivated me with its story line. Lots of twists and did figured out the ending almost to the end.

4/5 stars Very good audible book

Hillary, I loved this one as well and was happy to learn it's the first book in a trilogy. It's being made into a mini-series too.

13. The Book of Life by Deborah Harkness.


This is the last book of the trilogy and did enjoy all 3 books. However, I did feel that the author rushed the ending of this series.

14. The Journey: Walking the Road to Bethlehem by Adam Hamilton

This was read for our Bible Study. That said, I am enjoying his Lenten book much more.

4/5 stars. Its a good Mother/daughter reunion but again certain parts seems unrealistic but enjoyable.

16. Yes, Please by Amy Poehler

My daughter recommended this book, but do think she enjoyed it more than I did. Loved several parts of it including the parts on cell phones. She was truthful about her life, good or bad ... whether it should be that open is another matter to debate.

You have been reading an interesting mix! I love eclectic!
I added "Yes Please" too and will check out my library to see if they have it or will look for it to come up cheap on the Kindle. I also have Z to read.

Writers went to Paris because in the 20's, what they were writing about was too radical for even the roaring 20's here in America and so they went to Europe/Paris because their radicalism was welcomed there.

17. The Sweetness at the Bottom of the Pie.

Originally took Flavia as a Nancy Drew or Hardy Boys sleuth. Further along the book went, this 11 year old is more of an adult than a junior Sherlock.

Love Flavia!!

The first book can be overwhelming because Flavia is so precocious, but as you read on, you fall in love with this girl, so left alone in her life. With each book, I just adore her more. I hope you give the other books a chance Hillary!

Hillary, yes, yes to what the others already said!! I've fallen head over heels in love with Flavia and I wasn't a huge fan of book #1. I thought she was a budding psychopath, lol.

I thoroughly enjoyed the storyline but wished his girlfriend hadn't died. Now I plan to read the next series. Plus will check out the movie and or tv show.

I need to start this soon but other books keep getting in the way! I liked the movie.

The Odd Thomas series is seriously one of the best I have ever read. I have passed this book out to so many people, who have gotten sucked in just like I did. Elyse, it is as good as Flavia, but in a much different way, if you understand what I mean.

Hillary, I hope you keep reading them. They just get better with each book.
