Ohhhh I'll read Infinity and Invincible as soon as I get back from my hollidays and then Infamous so I can coment here e.e
I will start a re-read of this later tonight. If I do recall this is when Nick and Caleb start to bond.
That is what everyone say...I remember some serious stuff but this time, I'll read the entire series and write down everything I think it's important
Aww thanks. But I swear we need a white board or a bulletin board to catch all the facts like they have at the cop station. That'd be great.
Definitely something to try for sure one of these days. If I recall right they have these books of different scenes to find him in. It's a hoot.
Yeah! I've seen them in my favorite bookstore (it's the only one that I know that has books in English)
Hope you like them when you get there Nette. Definitely another way to enrich the series to say the least.

You definitely learn to love Nick all over again with CON. I didn't realize how much I missed his humor in the DH series until I picked up CON.
I'm sure many have. But have to remember at the heart of Nick he is someone that is a loyalist first. And he felt betrayed. And since what happened to him, I believe this is just his journey of becoming something he never wished to be in the first place. And in the adult series world, that is someone like his father, and even more someone that attributed to his mother's death in some fashion, and even worse than that being betrayed by those he held most dear. So quite the journey Monsieur Nick is on to say the least. And no doubt making it even uglier before he gets pretty.
Shari-amor is right, Nette. I have learned to hold on to the brief goodness- moments that Nick had now and again. Like the one in Acheron, when he saves Tory...but with CON, if I wasn't in love with him before, I am now, definitely
Thats understandable but it's hard to watch a character you love so much go through that sort of metamorphosis and realize it's only gonna get worse before it gets better. It drags hearing him complain and be negative through several books. When any other character we'd probably hear it in a couple or in small doses. It's like being around a friend going through it. Now having me as a friend I'd only wanna hear it so much before I start dishing out tough love.
But here's a purely objective question. Do you guys not think that Kyrian, Talon, etc. went through something similar when they first became dark-hunters too? I mean we just hear about them getting squires, and how their past was before and after being dark-hunters. But not quite seeing them go through their first few years as dark-hunters, I think that would be really telling.
I see what you mean with that...I guess I'm just an optimist but yeah...I didn't like seen him in his evil-self
I'm sure they did but as a reader I don't want to read about it for several books. It's been years since Nick's mother has been killed. As a reader, it's starting to be boring to me and it's time to move on to make room for other ideas and storylines. I'm a bit worried that we'll never get it. We're what!? 30+ plus books into the series and still have years to go before we get a finish. I love SK but it's time to wrap it up and let it go.
True, but she has so many other avenues to explore anyway. And besides when you dealing with one of the upper echelon of demons anyway. Gotta write his parts just so. I would hate for it to be wrapped up and Nick is skipping through a field of daisies too prematurely or anything.
I wish there were 30 left! But I get it that Cherise's death is maybe something that must to come up every time that Nick hesitates in his Malachai status
That's the issue. She's opening too many doors right now. She's got CON, the dragons, the demons, Nick/Ambrose, Artie, Jaden/Jared, Savitar, and Thorn. Half of these characters won't even get there story until Nick gets his which wont be for another 6 years if shes still planning on doing 12 in the CON series. I understand not wanting to shift things too quickly or wrap up with a perfect bow but it should never take this long. They may have had interesting points or tidbits but the books themselves yeah.
Another true statement, but this could be her top money maker too. And maybe finishing it too soon could underscore her own steady income too maybe.
Ok just started. It must be hard to learn you'll become the most evil and feared being in the universe and will end it. Thats gotta be worse to learn as a kid especially with the life he's lived so far.

I can't remember where I've left off? I believe it was somewhere around No Mercy?
Hehehe oh yes you do, Nette. He's learning all about the other attempts Ambrose made in trying to change his destiny
Shari-amor wrote: "Hehehe oh yes you do, Nette. He's learning all about the other attempts Ambrose made in trying to change his destiny"Damn, I'm doomed...lol
Dhfan4life wrote: "You can do it Nette."I'm trying to read from my Kindle app on my phone and can't access my DH books! I broke another Kindle and the replacement will get to me who knows when? Damn!
You're so bad Shari-amor...lol. I'm pulling my hair out over here...lol
Ooooh! I just read how Grim found out about Nick. I didn't think it was ever mentioned but I might have missed it the first time around

Si senorita. ^_^ Don't Say A Word with Britney Murphy. Oh ok Yeah it was his dad. He wants Grim to train Nick to make him stronger so Adarian can still all of Nick's powers. That way he'll have his own amd Nicks. Grim gets to be a leader in the apocalypse that next to Adarian instead of in a subservient role
ADARIAN! The fucki' love of my dark-life haha.I must confess that in a moment, I liked Grim too. DON'T KILL ME

He’s learned to annihilate zombies and raise the dead, divination and clairvoyance, so why is learning to drive and keep a girlfriend so dang hard? But that isn’t the primary skill he has to master. Survival is.
And in order to survive, his next lesson makes all the others pale in comparison. He is on the brink of becoming either the greatest hero mankind has ever known.
Or he’ll be the one who ends the world. With enemies new and old gathering forces, he will have to call on every part of himself to fight or he’ll lose everyone he cares about.
Even himself.
