After not quite reaching my goal last year, I'm going to have another go at Franklin this year. I have absolutely no idea what I'll read, but I'll begin with Sisters Of Mercy by Caroline Overington as I'm halfway through it already, courtesy of last year's challenge.

Trouble is - if a book is a bit blah at the beginning I am mostly disinclined to be persuaded to continue. Unless I am made curious. :)
I can relate to that Sally. That's why I only give stars 3-5. I don't review 1 and 2 star books. 1 would be the equivalent of reading one page and not liking the book and 2 star is about twenty pages. Either way I don't continue to read the book. Life is too short!
And I didn't begin with Sisters of Mercy, I started with Ambassador 2: Raising Hell by Patty Jansen, which was a five star read for me.Here's my review: https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
