Play Book Tag discussion

It's been quite awhile since I saw the movie version of Mary Poppins but this book definitely what I expected based on the movie. The book is a series of short stories about how Mary Poppins becomes the nanny for the Banks children, Jane, Michael and the baby twins John and Barbara. I wish there was more of an overall plot instead of mostly unconnected stories. Mary Poppins is vain and rather rude and I'm not sure why the kids love her so much. The weirdest story was probably the zoo one. This was a quick read and as it fits well for a reading challenge I'm doing I'll probably read more of the series.
