I just finished When it Rains: The Umbrella Collectiona very good book. I am going to start You Slay Menow for a lighter read.
I'm starting Diana Gabaldon's WRITTEN IN MY OWN HEARTS BLOOD. I'm sure it'll be just as good as her other 7 Outlander novels!
I started reading the In Death series by J D Robb, many years ago. There are now close to 40 in the series. I decided I wanted to go back and read them all again, in order. So I recently went and bought about 20 of them to fill in what I was missing. Some I read in hardcover, from my local library. I had started in November to re-read and put them aside due to trying to reach my goal for the 2014 reading challenge. Going to start book #6 Vengeance In Death today and have # 7 ready to go as soon as I finish 6. Will most likely read a couple and then switch to something else from TBR pile.
I'm reading The Disappearance of Mavis Woodstock while I wait to hear from the library to pick up Orphan Train.
Just finished Vengeance In Death, book 6 in series by J D Robb. Next up for me is Holiday In Death, book 7 in this same series.
I havent had the best start this year but did finish 6 books:
Right now I'm reading a few at once
Next will be reading for fiction -
I am halfway through Island of the Swans the Duchess of Devonshire's rival, I like this much better.
Just finished Dune Messiah and am currently reading North and South while I wait for the library to have The Road available for download.
Delphi Complete Works of Oscar Wildeand I´ll try to get to the 魔界王子 devils and realist 5 Makai Ouji Devils and Realist 5
Also planning to buy The Republic of Thieves this week and read it.
I'm listening to the outlanderreading the assassination option and pagan babies
I may give up on pagan babies, its not holding my interest.
I finally really started The Elementals tonight (not just put on currently reading list)
Also about to start Hannibal Rising
After finishing reading The Road which was very dark, I needed light, very light so I've read Death by Didgeridoo and now I'm reading Big Mojo.
I was in a bookstore (online site of my, local, favourite one) and I´m very much in a doubt. I´m interested in buying:The Daylight War, The Way of Shadows and Prince of Fools
I´ve read Painted Man and The Desert Spear by Peter V. Brett (1st book amazing, 2nd one disappointing, but I do "own" them) and I do want to read the 3rd book, but I do not like the series (in general, like any of the series out there, I prefer stand alone novels), and I do want to check out the 1st book of Mr. Brent Weeks and Mr. Mark Lawrence´s series - so... I´m not sure which one to choose.
I´ve already bought 3 books this month and I cannot buy more than 7 books (my own decided limit) and yes, I know I could buy all three but there´re some other books I want to buy too (Trigger Warning: Short Fictions and Disturbances, for example, because my library won´t allow me to keep the book for more than 2 weeks and I need more time, plus some more, yet undecided but no more important - manga probably)
I´ve come here to check the summaries so I could decide what to buy tomorrow because tomorrow I´m definitely going to buy one book and I do hope it´s going to be the one I´m willing to read after purchase
I´m reading 5 books at the moment, not quite sure I remembered the author´s names yet (of course I could easily check them out but it wouldn´t be as remembering them, right?) :)
I'm reading The Country of Ice Cream Star which I won in a First Reads giveaway. Post-apocalyptic which is becoming a favorite genre.
I finished
A New York: Winters Tale by Mark Helprin and gave it 2 stars https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
