I’m just starting the book now

Hope you love this, it was 5/5 for me

This book is going by really slowly but I've finally made it to part 3! The Hunger Games was quite fast-paced, I wonder what happened 🤔🤔

Also, (spoilers for chapter 20) (view spoiler)[did anyone else feel like the end of the games was so anti-climactic? Like, all Lucy Gray did was make Reaper run until he eventually dropped dead. While it is a smart move (woo go Lucy!) it felt really unsatisfying. I guess Collins was trying to contrast how the games are now to those in the original trilogy? (hide spoiler)]

so I made it to part 3 last night, I've enjoyed it so far, I didn't like that much how part 2 ended tho, it felt so sudden, (view spoiler)[not so much because of the ending of the games but how snow's faith was revealed, just one short paragraph and that's it, I saw it will be explained in the next chapter but yeah, it put me out of the story for a minute.

I actually enjoyed the games a lot and I liked how they ended, with Lucy poisoning Reaper and everything. (hide spoiler)]

I still don't know how I feel about this book, I think so far it's a 3/5 for me, we'll see after the ending

Honestly, the first two parts were a solid 4/5 (borderline 5/5) for me, but going into the third part it automatically dropped to a 3/5. The relationship development between Coriolanus and Lucy Gray feels rushed in a way. (view spoiler)[I get that they're kind of in love since he helped her survive the games, but that relationship was on a mentor and tribute dynamic. I feel like now they're gonna get to know each other better and find that they don't exactly fit? Haha it seems as though I want their relationship to fail but that's just my guess. (hide spoiler)]

On another note, we finally get to see the origins of "The Hanging Tree"! I know that we were told we were gonna find out in this book, but I still fangirled a little too hard when I saw it >.<
