Nero Wolfe and Archie Goodwin, his assistant, are such fun for mystery fans. I hope that you enjoy them as much as I do - I remember that Too Many Cooks has Wolfe leaving his home, which is pretty unusual.
My book for this month is The Secret Garden. I have read most of the children’s classics when I was young, but somehow missed this one. I am loving it.

I have been wanting to read Oryx and Crake for so long. I don't know how it's slipped through.

Updated my list at Message 6 - now read 9 of my planned reads with The Missing by Tim Gautreaux
plus an 'unplanned' read which is a coffee-table book I have been dipping into for a while - White Heat: A History of Britain in the Swinging Sixties, 1964-70 by Dominic Sandbrook
- rated both of these 9/10 (4*).
Ended the month having completed the classic Middlemarch by George Eliot- rated this one 3* (7/10). My review is here:-
https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
Ended the month having only completed 13 of 23 provisionally-targeted books - the remainder will be rolled over to future months. Won't have to be so ambitious in future!!
