debating whether to buy paperback or read ebook. ebook is free for moi, but i like having famous books i’ve read in actual copies on my shelves. ackkk. i might just read ebook; save my wallet and a tree.

oop, i do not get on well with audiobooks haha! i’ve been trying to read the audio of A Wrinkle In Time for abt a month and i’m only an hour or two in lmao

So what i am asking is do i have to read it like 100-page every week or can i read it in like day if i feel like it?
And sorry again if this is stupid.
it’s just a free schedule. go at your own pace, you can even finish after July, just do you! :) (and don’t feel stupid, we’re all unsure weirdos here)
haha just like eliza said! its just a chill group to read books together. there's no expectations or anything so you can read at whatever pace you like :)
so i was gonna read it on ebook, but i’ve kinda decided not to read ebooks anymore because it takes away actual physical reading time and my parents keep on nagging me about the unnatural lights in a phone or whatever so i’m going to order the book now (i probs will not be finished by end of Jun) x

Thank you!
started reading the book today and already I'm falling in love with it again! its one of those books that ill always enjoy every time i read it :)

I just got mine from library. I am so excited to start it. Maybe i even start it in few days!

I have not haha. Basically i have not heard anything about what happens, i have never read or watched the movie adaption of this (i know lot of my bookish friends love this)
ah cool. it’s a really fun story. it’s kinda a stereotypical coming-of-age story but it’s very unique in some aspects :)

Oh, i am so excited!
the book came! i’m about 35 pages into it and really enjoying it. i like how honest charlie is ;)
the film is awesome! its one of those lucky times that the adaptation is as good as the book (in my opinion lol) !
so i finished the book and gave it a 5/5! agh, i don’t know what it was that separated it from other YA novels, but i just loved it so much :). i did pick up that Sam has long hair in the book, but I prefer Emma Watson with short hair as Sam tbh!
thats awesome Eliza! tbh i never even noticed sam was supposed to have long hair in the book even though ive reread it tonnes lol. short hair definitely makes the character
also hope u like it juuso!
also hope u like it juuso!
yeah the format of the story how its all written in letters can be a bit hard to get used to. i find watching the movie puts it all into perspective and makes the plot make sense

charlotte, i didn’t think about that! i mean i knew what was happening, but thinking back on it, it was probably because of the film :)

Yeah, the language is bit confusing.

AND I LOVE BILL!

I had big assumptions before going to this book. I thought this is gonna be cliche (which it happily did not feel like, but i still do not know for sure was it).
At the really start, it was kinda hard to get inside this story. The writing felt strange in my opinion. I still do not get why this was written so correctly. They are still letters, who writes letters like that? Before the start the writing style did not bother me much. Like i said this language was not my favorite. It worked here, but it was really risk.
At the first "act" mostly (or whatever it is called) Charlie was really stupid. Charlie made bad decisions a lot which sometimes annoyed me.
I liked the ending except epilogue. The epilogue was okay, but not as good as previous letters.
These characters were mostly nice and realistic and this book felt like home. All in all, this was a warm reading experience, which made me think a lot!
Now i really have to get my own copy of this book
no it’s fine!! i agree with the bit about the cliche! i thought it was too and it really shocked me :)
(turns out i have service at camping!) I just finished reading it and omg i do love this book! that thing you said Juuso that this book felt like home is so true!
I love the relationship between all the characters like in the rocky horror group and also especially between charlie and his sister. i think the whole thing is really well written not necessarily in terms of the language but just the way the story is told.
the revelation at the end is extremely shocking every time i read it. it explains a lot about Charlie's trauma and the way he is.
one tiny thing i also really liked (which im sure my english teacher would love lol) is how all the tiny details are repeated kinda like easter eggs. like how Charlie eats fries with his mum at the end, referencing that lost boy in the shopping centre as one example. it makes you feel nostalgic about the book the same way as the characters do in the 'remember when' scene.
i think this is a really good book and definitely one of those ones that i keep re-reading every couple of years.

Side note: there can be some heavy themes in this book so please feel no obligation to read it f you don't feel comfortable at any point :)tygvs
