Dang, my library doesn't have this on audio. It has her 2nd, Home Work: A Memoir of My Hollywood Years- but I feel l should read this one first.
I wish I could give it to you. They need to figure out a way to let you loan audio. I bet she has great stories once she’s in Hollywood! Similar to the Rob Lowe one I’m listening to where he’s name dropping constantly!!

***Audio***
This is a really great memoir about the early part of Julie Andrew's life. I didn't realize that she started so young. I also didn't realize that she had a such a tough start to life. I was a bit disappointed that she didn't talk more about her experience during WWII. That's the only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5. There were parts where she seemed to give a ton of detail and kept going on and on but then things that I wanted to know more about, she didn't.
I listened to the audio and Julie Andrews read it. I think she did a great job, better than most. It was definitely really interesting to learn more about her and reminded me how wrong our perceptions about people can be.
This memoir covers the beginning of her life, growing up in England, learning to sing, when she started getting noticed. She describes when she signed her first contract to be on Broadway, her experiences with that show, My Fair Lady. And when she started meeting with Disney to discuss staring in Mary Poppins. She describes when she met her 1st husband and even her 2nd husband, although she didn't marry him until later in her life than what this book covers.
I really enjoyed it and I'll definitely be picking up her other memoir that covers her Hollywood years.
