I read "The Glass Castle" many years ago - and still think about it often. In fact whenever my wife and I feel the need to leave anyplace quickly - we always "skeedaddle."

Haven't read the book but I liked the movie. It was very awkward and quirky.

I read the book and saw the movie for This is Where I Leave You by Jonathan Tropper. I was trying to think back to the book while watching the movie. I think it was very different and only loosly based on the book. Does anyone who read the book and see the movie agree?

I watched the movie immediately after reading the book and aside from changing a few names and omitting a scene or two involving Judd's boss, I thought the adaptation was exactly like the book. In fact, I noticed that a lot of the dialogue in the movie was directly as written in the book. Both movie and book were fantastic!
