A quaint, special, and mystical forest that can only be accessed if you are a Celestial. Bask in the fresh scent of nature to escape the world, or come on an adventure, if you are brave enough to do so. Sometimes you might hear whispers, seemingly from the trees, but please don't freak out. Celestial... Did you hear that? Am I imagining things? Yes you! Celestial! Stop turning your head!

Elara flew over the forest swiftly, enjoying the feel of the wind around her and her wings carrying her over the trees. She was in full Fae form; translucent, shadowy black eagle wings, inhuman height, black antlers, and sharp black talons instead of fingernails. Her hawk friends flew around her, coming and going quickly. She landed in a small clearing, deep in the forest, and shifted back to her petite human form. She was dressed in a tight black shirt with a branching, high lacy collar and leather pants. Her obsidian daggers hung by her hips, and she had a hidden knife in her combat boots. Even when she was supposedly relaxing, Elara was on guard.

She stood in the clearing for a moment, wincing at the too-bright sunlight filtering down. She was a Dark Fae - she didn't like light. She closed her eyes and focused on shifting; just a partial shift. Her black wings stretched over her head, providing a sort of canopy over her otherwise-human body. Human, other than the arched, pointed ears, silver skin, blue blood, and black eyes.
She braided her midnight-blue hair down her back and went beneath a tree for shade. Her wings shifted slightly, then disappeared, and Elara was left in human form.

ᏒᏋᎩ [Exam season :( (2 of 5 done)] (detectingeagle310) Amelia walked through the enchanted forest. She had liked nature alot. Her dad had always trained her outside. The fresh air, the sound of the wind, the trees rustling and the sounds of the birds chirping always calmed her. She looked around at the beautiful forest. Drinking in every detail. She climbed on to one of the trees and sat on the highest branch which gave her a beautiful view of the academy building.

A hawk flew down to land near Elara, letting out a call, then a screech. Elara understood. There was another person, a new one, in the forest. She nodded at the bird, which let out another call and flew off to join the rest of her friends.

Cayenne walked into the forest, finally getting a breather from his sister who was setting up her dorm. He was pleasantly surprised that there was even an enchanted forest near the school compound, and as he stepped in, he stretched out his arms, breathing in the deep, fragrant scent of nature that permeated his nose. His senses tingled as he enjoyed the buzz of life around him, but as soon as it came, the nice feeling disappeared as well. Cayenne furrowed his eyebrows as he looked around, wondering why did the vibes feel off. It seemed like the forest was trying to tell him something, like the trees were speaking. Just whispers, barely loud enough to make out sounds.

Sighing, Cayenne gave up trying to listen, and instead continued his walk, pausing occasionally to touch a grass that seemed to be barely surviving, or look at the herbs that grew everywhere. He didn't notice that there were people already there as the boy was too involved with the pure existence of beautiful nature around him.

(( might go off to bed after this ))

Elara heard someone approaching. A hawk screeched nearby, which meant that they were getting close. She tensed, sliding a hand toward one of her daggers, the other one growing sharp, black talons. Her acute Fae senses went into alert, waiting for whoever it was to get closer. Male, from the scent and the sound. Elara's fingers tightened on her dagger.

Cayenne walked on, oblivious to everything else. He suddenly heard a screech of what sounded like a hawk, and it sounded malicious. Shivers went down his spine as he flexed his fingers, thankful that it was day and if anything happened, he could call on the trees and vines around him to protect him. He treaded quietly from there on out, and saw a small clearing slowly coming into sight, and there was someone already there.

Taking a deep breath, Cayenne emerged from the trees and saw that the female was hold onto a sharp object, and he gulped, hoping that she wasn't intending to attack him or anything. "H-Hi?" he asked tentatively, just loud enough for his voice to travel the short distance to her ears.

Elara whirled, throwing the dagger to land just by the male's ear. She had already drawn the other dagger before realizing that it was a student. "Should have realized," was all she said, using the shadows under the trees to grab the dagger and carry it back to her. Her talons faded back into ahuman hand. "You're a student, I'm assuming." Her voice was cold, hard and sharp. She re-sheathed her daggers.

Cayenne's eyes widened, his heart almost leaping out of his chest as thr dagger nearly missed him. Instinctively, he flexed his fingers, the tree behind him wrapping its bark around the dagger, but it was soon taken away by the shadows. "Yes I am a student. And you are a teacher? Why did you attack me? " Cayenne asked softly, watching the dagger return to the teacher who seemed to be quite cold, and stern. As a fellow educator himself, he was the exact opposite of her, and that got him curious about the different teaching styles. He took several steps back, not wanting to get attacked again. He wasn't one to fight, and most certainly not against a teacher.

Kevin Connor Lights watched them from a distance. He was on top of a huge rock. This allowed him to have a clear sight of the scenery. The landscape was beautiful. The sun was rising and the trees were lush green. The canopy looked so reflecting. Even the mountains in the distance and the small river calmed the sight into a cool view.

Kevin Connor Then he noticed the boy and the Teacher. Their combat teacher was standing and soaking in the greenery around her. And suddenly, for some apparent reason she threw a weapon at the boy. He wondered what could the reason be? Did the boy survive? Was the teacher paranoid? Was she the combat teacher only because she knew how to wield weapons? Were weapons all that there were to combat? Did noone know about the existence of "being aware of one's surroundings"? Did the teacher mean to kill the boy? Did the boy suffer before he was so mercilessly murdered?

message 13: by Kevin (new)

Kevin Connor Lights did not want see the fight anymore if there was some left. He did not want to see sad things such as this. And he knew now, that their combat teacher killed someone. He would want to know the reason but he would have to be careful about it. He decided that he would ask the other teachers about that later. He stepped off the rock and went back to the school.

ᏒᏋᎩ [Exam season :( (2 of 5 done)] (detectingeagle310) Amelia watched all of this silently from the tree. She had seen all three of the people in the forest but didn't approach any of them. She closed her eyes and continued to listen to the sounds around her, ignoring everything else. She had all the time in the world too enjoy since she was the Goddess of Time. She smiled.

"I'm the combat teacher," Elara replied coolly. "And I've learned that it's better to be on guard when you hear someone approaching. I didn't aim to kill." She looked him over, noting that his skin had flashed green momentarily and that the tree behind him had begun mending. "Dryad." It should have been a question, but Elara didn't phrase it as one.

Cayenne felt like there was more than one individual there, but he only focused on one - the teacher who seemed terrifying and menacing. When she called out his species, he nodded, sticking his hands into his pockets as he was unsure of how to react. "Yeah, I'm a Dryad. Are you a Goddess or another species?" he asked quietly, not wanting to often the teacher. He was wondering about his status as a student versus her as a teacher, making a mental note not to offend her. He then took steps forward, contrary to what he did before, and approached the clearing, the sun filling him with energy.

ᏒᏋᎩ [Exam season :( (2 of 5 done)] (detectingeagle310) She saw Cayenne step into the sunlight and watched him curiously. She noticed how the sunlight seemed to energize him and started thinking of the ways people get energy. After a while she climbed down and started to walk towards the academy building. She needed to do something to keep herself occupied. She hated not doing anything unless she was out in the open. When she was outside, it always calmed her. It always brought a smile on her face.

Elara raised an eyebrow. "Dark Fae." Her silver skin and pointed ears should have been a giveaway, not to mention the shadows. This boy needed to learn to be more observant -- it could be the key factor in a battle. Elara studied his movements and how he seemed to gain more energy in the sun. Strength from the sun, photosynthesis likely. Not used to a fight, judging by his relaxed movements.

Cayenne didn't say anything, and merely nodded as he observed as well, as she was clearing doing so to him. He ignored the fact that there was probably someone else, no, two someone else there watching them- he could feel it in his bones. He had to focus his attention on the teacher in front of him. He felt exposed, felt like his soul was bared out to someone whom he had barely known - and to his possible future at that. He wasn't very comfortable with that, and if his sister was with him, she would probably speak up, but he wasn't someone like that.

Suddenly, he heard a soft whisper, Cayenne..., from the back of him, and he whipped around, his eyes filling with fear as his hands got ready to manipulate the trees. "D-Did you hear that?" Cayenne turned around again, asking the teacher, wondering if it was just his ears playing tricks on him.

message 20: by [deleted user] (new)

"The forest? The sounds it makes?" Elara's black eyes fixed on him. "Normal." She had long since learned not to pay attention to the whispers and voices. She'd followed them once, but had never found anything. Her training kept her focused one evrything else. Vague whispers were useless.

"What do you mean normal?" Cayenne couldn't help but ask, getting goosebumps from her black eyes that seemed to bore into him. He didn't really like that feeling, and fleeted his eyes around, trying to focus on any greenery, any object that is not the teacher.

Cayenne... the voice came again, this time louder as it sounded closer to him. "Stop it," he muttered, his body tensed as he whipped around, creeped out by both the dark fae, and by the voice that seemed to be luring him to where it was.

message 22: by [deleted user] (last edited Jul 13, 2020 08:40AM) (new)

"It's just the forest," Elara said. "Ignore it. The voices don't lead anywhere." A hawk screeched nearby. Elara shifted into her full Fae form: inhuman height, antlers, black eagle wings, and taloned hands. She gave Cayenne one last penetrating look, then stepped out into the clearing and shot into the sky, several hawks joining her immediately. Elara flew off.

Cayenne listened intently, as she sounded pretty serious about him ignoring the voices, but for some reason, they just sounded pretty compelling. He hesitated for a while, and felt shivers travelling down his spine when she shot him a look that was petrifying. What is her problem? Cayenne thought to himself, before shaking the feeling away and walking back into the forest, the whispers still surrounding him. Why was the school so incredibly creepy?

kylee, (allmyfriends_arefictional) Hendrix shrugs. "Well, I don't understand a lot of things. This place is great, I understand that. Great acoustics..." Hendrix looks around the clearing.
