Play Book Tag discussion

This YA fantasy had an interesting world with interesting necromantic magic. It's not exactly horror but the necromancy does skirt the edge of it. Young Sabriel is the daughter of the Abhorsen, a magic user who can travel freely between life and the early stages of death before the final ninth gate that crosses into true death, and who trained her in the same arts. When he is trapped by a malevolent spirit, she must leave her school to find and rescue him.

I'm glad I finally got around to reading this. Horror is not my genre, and this might be classified as horror lite, but it's not the type to engender nightmares. I'm looking forward to the rest of the series.

This is definitely out of my usual wheelhouse, but I LOVED it! I listened to the audio, which was very well done.

I have had this on my TBR for a while now-good to know it was worth taking up the space-I have it on my list to read this year, hopefully soon
