There is nothing I enjoy more than a well-written dystopian/post-apocalyptic romance book, but most are either YA or erotica. I will recommend the Eve trilogy by Anna Carey. It's YA romance.
Scorpious Syndrome Series byRebecca Zanetti are my absolute fav. Give the first book in the series a try....Mercury Striking🧡🧡
I definitely recommend these books for that apocalyptic slow burn romance!Angelfall by Susan Ee
Pestilence by Laura Thalassa
The 5th Wave by Rick Yancey
I actually haven't read any of these suggestions so far, other than Pestilence which I have to admit... I deleted before I finished the second or third chapter. 😅 Neither the writing nor the lead male were my cup of tea. Definitely checking out all of the other recs, however, and I don't mind YA! I don't even mind *erotica*, honestly - there's just rarely emotional connection to the story or the characters in those (obviously). LGBTQ+ recs are also welcomed. I just want a really good story at this point.
Mila wrote: "I really loved the Legend trilogy by Marie Lu. Give it a try"I second the Legend Trilogy Boxed Set suggestion if you have not read.
Nobody's Hero by Bec McMaster is the first of three books in the Burned Lands Series. Post Apocalyptic Australian desert with a paranormal element. Loved the first book.

I still need to read that one.
The Praying for Rain Trilogy by BB Easton was really good, and I also just read Last Light by Claire Kent which was also another solid read.

by Madeline Sheehan and Claire C. Riley
Not sure if anyone has suggested Ilona Andrews Kate Daniels Series, The first book was my least favourite, but each book just gets stronger as you read through the series. Lots of interesting paranormal magic and shifters and a kickass heroine with quirky found family. Here is a quick precis: The world has suffered a magic apocalypse. We pushed the technological progress too far, and now magic returned with a vengeance. It comes in waves, without warning, and vanishes as suddenly as it appears. When magic is up, planes drop out of the sky, cars stall, electricity dies. When magic is down, guns work and spells fail. It’s a volatile, screwed-up world. Magic feeds on technology, gnawing down on skyscrapers until most of them topple and fall, leaving only skeletal husks behind. Monsters prowl the ruined streets, werebears and werehyenas stalk their prey; and the Masters of the Dead, necromancers driven by their thirst of knowledge and wealth, pilot blood-crazed vampires with their minds.
In this world lives Kate Daniels. Kate likes her sword a little too much and has a hard time controlling her mouth. The magic in her blood makes her a target, and she spent most of her life hiding in plain sight. But sometimes even trained killers make friends and fall in love, and when the universe tries to kick them in the face, they kick back.
I enjoyed Tracey Ward’s Quarantined, Survival and Rising series. https://www.goodreads.com/series/1666...
The Kate Daniels series by Ilona Andrews is really good. The storyline is one of the most original I've read and the world and characters are richly developed. Also, almost the entire series is a slow burn.... and it's SO worth it.
Cari Silverwood’s Beast Horde series is a real treathttps://www.goodreads.com/book/show/5...
And i enjoyed Addison Cain’s Swallow it Down
