Happy New Year! Here's my start on the challenge:Total: 7/10 (I will definitely be moving up through the levels)
Do you guys read Historical fiction novels set in the Middle East? 50's in Iraq, to be more precise, Baghdad? If so The Gardener of Baghdad talks about that period.
I think the cut off might be WWII, but I'd have to check to be certain. Thanks for the recommendation, Ahmad.
Hi Sophia, great challenge!! Are you able to post a link to the blog where the challenge is hosted please?I've only read three historical fiction books so far this year but I'm reading three at the same time at present so expect that number to jump. I also love reading non fiction books like Alison Weir or David Starkey.
Hi Meri!I didn't realize that I hadn't put the link up there- fixed that. Here you go: http://www.passagestothepast.com/2015...
You're doing great! My goal is to read at least two a month.
I bumped myself up two challenge levels to Ancient History since I'm cruising right along with this challenge so now I'm going for 25 books. Here's what I read for March:Total: 14/25

I'm working my way through the Horatio Hornblower series this year. Excellent! I'm having trouble finding one of the short stories, "Hornblower and the Hand of Destiny". Of course, it's the first one I need to read to keep to chronological order. I listed the full series in my review here:https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...

It's part of a short story collection that's available on Kindle. It's on the pricey side for the page count, but I guess that's relative to how badly you want it. ;) Here's the link if you're interested in checking it out: http://www.amazon.com/Hornblower-Adde...
I usually just add these types to the wish list and hope for a sale or a gift card to come my way. It's so frustrating to miss just the one.
I haven't entered the challenge but the is what I am reading at the moment. I am trying to endure this humid weather and what better way to do so than to read.
That looks good, Mystery Lady! And definitely no better way to beat the heat than reading. :)I was only able to read one for the challenge this month.
My YTD total: 24
September was a much better reading month. I got hooked on the historical mysteries this month. Yum!Total YTD: 32
