The poll is now open.

Make your suggestions for August's pick here (or on Discord in #pick-suggestions) to be included in the poll. Please include a link to the book's Goodreads page if possible. Also, keep in mind that this is a genre romance book club, so try to pick something where a relationship is part of the story. Look through our bookshelf to see the kinds of books we read.

The poll will go up around July 17th and will end August 1st. All suggestions must be over 100 pages long and have over 100 star ratings on Goodreads. For more information see The Vaginal Fantasy Poll FAQ.

The theme for August will be "Rakes, Rascals, and Rogues". Nominate your favorite romance novel that features dangerous heroes behaving badly and (maybe) needing to be redeemed.

Holly Benavente (hollyb48) Darkfever by Karen Marie Morning.

When MacKayla's sister was murdered, she left a single clue to her death, a cryptic message on Mac's cell phone. Journeying to Ireland in search of answers, Mac is soon faced with an even greater challenge: staying alive long enough to master a power she had no idea she possessed - a gift that allows her to see beyond the world of man, into the dangerous realm of the Fae.

As Mac delves deeper into the mystery of her sister's death, her every move is shadowed by the dark, mysterious Jericho...while at the same time, the ruthless V'lane - an alpha Fae who makes sex an addiction for human women - closes in on her. As the boundary between worlds begins to crumble, Mac's true mission becomes clear: to find the elusive Sinsar Dubh before someone else claims the all-powerful Dark Book - because whoever gets to it first holds nothing less than complete control both worlds in their hands

Malaraa | 335 comments We did Darkfever in Sept, 2015 as an alt. The discussion was here, in case anyone wants to revisit it. :)

Queen Talk Talk (queentalktalk) | 15 comments Neanderthal Seeks Human by Penny Reid is my vote. Quinn is a "Wendell". Basically he is a modern rake, rascal, and rogue with the voice of Batman. Janie is smart, clueless but has great friends who look out for her.
I read this years ago. It is worth the price. It is part of a series but you still get a HEA.

Adrienne | 3 comments The Devil in Disguise by Cynthia Eden. I think the devil qualifies as a rascal ;)

If you need an additional option for the poll, I also nominate Pirate Nemesis by Carysa Locke
