Hi! I know there aren't many people on this group yet but this book is incredible. I mean, just a masterpiece. Every time I read it, Hazel's character personally develops more, idk. Anyway, what I want to ask is, is the movie worth the watch? The allegations against a *certain* actor frankly put me off even more. And is the book better than the movie, like in most cases?

The film is definitely worth it! However, the book is better, in my opinion. Not everything translated into the film. Anyway, welcome to the group!
Thank you! It’s nice to meet you! I actually watched around 20 mins of the movie some time ago but I stopped it because I didn’t want to start crying in front of the family. I’ll watch the movie then, thank you.

Hey there! Welcome!
Hey there! Welcome!
Hi, the film is definitely worth watching. However, I personally preferred the book. Anyway, I am new to the group.
the book gets better and better with every reread
Hi so I’m on this mission to read all of John Greens books. I don’t know what drives me to this book and movie so much but something definitely does. This movie is my favorite movie but I still prefer the book. It’s just so much better even if the movie was AMAZING! I just love the difference between Hazel and Gus! And the fact that we don’t know what happens to Hazel.
Anyways I’m new to the group so hi!
The book is just the same as the book. But there are more quotes in the book, that is why I love the book more.Have a nice day :)
Hey I’m new to the group! I watched the movie a couple weeks after I read the book and I really enjoyed it. The book is better in my opinion (but when is it not) but it is still worth a watch. I think that even though not everything from the book translates to the movie it still has the same feeling as the book. I also liked Isaac’s involvement in the book because my favorite side characters aren’t always included in the movies. I didn’t feel as connected to Hazel’s character but I did like Gus’s character (not necessarily the actor though).
Hi. I’m new to the group and new to this whole good reads thing. Yes, I think the movie is worth it. I think it’s fun to have the mental image of stuff as someone imagines it. My book has the movie poster so I kinda already new some. I like that they didn’t shy away from some features like showing Gus cgi with the amputation and the prosthesis.
