Among the many international events cancelled this year by the Covid-19 virus is this year's Hajj pilgrimage to Mecca. So I've decided my next book should be A Sinner in Mecca: A Gay Muslim's Hajj of Defiance by Parvez Sharma
Currently reading The Sweet Life in Paris, it's about 60% travel writing, and 40% cookbook (mostly desserts). I've made a couple of the recipes during the pandemic.
Natasha wrote: "Rendezvous with Rama by Arthur C. Clarke."I read that as a kid and loved it.
Today I started My Autobiography of Carson McCullers by Jenn Shapland.
Just finished Edited Out: A Carmen Ramirez Mystery By Lisa Haddock. Suspense, romance, humor while tackling big issues of racism and homophobia.

I have been listening to this as an audio book. It's been a fun listen so far Not quite what I expected from my previous reading of him.

Since I'm more or less confined to New Jersey thanks to Covid-19 I figured I might as well read something set here. THE PINES by Robert Dunbar
