I think I read about 5 last year. I will try for 6 this year.

I have 2 big books that are my list to read this year. I like this challenge

Maya: Didn't you tell me that The Warmth of Other Suns was a thick one. Maybe we can buddy up to read it. Not for a couple months, though.

I have at least 2 I've been meaning to read this year but I will set my challenge goal for 3.

I just finished Revolution today. 498 pages! I can't believe that I missed it by two pages!

We sure can Linda! Sometime in April would work for me. That book is 620 pages

Shuck! Someone Knows My Name has 489 pages.

I understand this happened to be a couple of times last year when doing a similar challenge. It was like the page numbers were teasing me.

I'm going for bronze - 3. I'm almost through Wrapped in Rainbows: The Life of Zora Neale Hurston.

I finally finished reading Moby-Dick; or, The Whale over the weekend! My copy was 822 pages (I got one with pictures, lol) so I guess I've rounded out my three books for the year.

I'll try to read the two I had planned this summer.

Congratulations! I call it an accomplishment for anyone to finish that book! There is actually a movie coming out this March that is based on the book called 'In the Heart of the Sea'. This is one I know I wont do. I'm not good at reading big books. Last one I read was Stephen 11/22/63. That was a great read and worth it but it took me way too long.

The Warmth of Other Suns: The Epic Story of America's Great Migration was a great big book to read. It will probably be the only one. I like big books only if it can keep my attention and this one did just that!
