Clara | 10 comments This is kind of a random question, but I realized that two books you have covered The Poppy War and Monstress are both Asian inspired fantasies that also engage with the history of World War II (The Pacific War) in Asia. I got curious if there are any other ones out there. If you know of another one, I would be curious to know.

Hm. I can't think of any from the top of my head aside from United States of Japan by Peter Tieryas. It's set in an alternate history where Japan won World War II. I'll let you know if I find any more. Marvin tends to read more Asian-inspired sci-fi fantasies than I do.

Danielle T (daumari) | 15 comments It's not books, but I saw that the second season of The Terror combines horror (and traditional Japanese supernaturals) to Japanese American incarceration during WWII
