message 1: by Lilly S (new)

Lilly S I know there are already some recommendations topics, but I wanted this one to be a little bit different. You can post your favorite books, authors and genres here, and I will try to recommend books based on that a lot and other people can too. Just use this as a way to recommend books and get recommendations!

message 2: by Lilly S (new)

Lilly S Yep! Alright I kinda hate GR right now. It’s recommending books that I have either read and didn’t like or books that look terrible. If anybody has recommendations I’m loving the Divergent series, my favorite book of all time is ready player one, and I love Hunger Games

message 23: by Felix (new)

Felix I have very specific reading tastes, but maybe someone can recommend me something.
• My favorite book is The Fifth Season . . . but I don't know about apocalyptic fiction I'm general.
• If it's queer, I'll read it. Probably. If it's not queer, it had better be good or I might not read it. But I will read books that aren't queer, though. They're just not my preference.
• I like historical YA. Especially queer historical YA.
• I like fantasy, but a lot of fantasy is disappointing. I especially don't like high fantasy YA. But I do like books like Point of Hopes and Assassin's Apprentice.
• I don't like classics
• I loooove nonfiction. My favorite nonfiction book is The Pig Who Sang to the Moon and The Happiness Advantage.
Does anyone have any books for me??

message 24: by amia (new)

amia 🇵🇸🌟💤 (taylor's ver (makevocaloidgreatagain) @Tiffany sawkill girls by claire legrand and rule by ellen goodlett seem your type. they both have f/f romances and sawkill girls has an asexual character and rule has a presumably bisexual character. they’re both fantasies but sawkill girls is more horror. and to warn you, sawkill girls scared the living daylights out of me

message 25: by Felix (new)

Felix Oh, I should have mentioned that I don't like horror. Thanks, though!

message 26: by amia (new)

message 40: by Willow Anne (new)

Willow Anne | 1206 comments I love historical fiction books where I'm able to learn something I had no idea about before reading that book. My favorite book is Salt to the Sea (and all other books by Ruta Sepetys). I'm open to any recommendations for books like this :)

message 41: by Lacey, Bookish Human (new)

Lacey | 1581 comments I love books like that too! Unfortunately I’m blanking on any at the moment. Have you read Between Shades of Gray by Ruta Sepetys? It’s also a historical fiction from that era and the characters tie together with Salt to the Sea.

message 42: by Lacey, Bookish Human (new)

Lacey | 1581 comments Sorry if you’ve already read that, I’ll keep thinking.

Bella | 40 comments I loved reading Between Shades of Gray!! Some other good books (in my opinion) are "This is Our Story" by Ashley Elston, which is a really good murder mystery/ romance novel. I also really liked the Maximum Ride series, which is an adventure series with some romance.

message 45: by Kieran (new)

Kieran | -118 comments Hey y’all. I’m looking for mainly YA Books or
Middle grade. I’m interested in fantasies about animals (think warrior cats or wings of fire) or LGBT related YA books (bonus points if it has trans or gay representation). I also read mangas (Haikyuu!!) and graphic moves (I haven’t read it yet but Heartstopper)
Thanks :)
