What do you all think about Bad Feminist: Essays by Roxane Gay??

Are you enjoying this book of essays so far?

I'm about halfway through this book, and just wanted to say that I'm really enjoying it. I love Roxane Gay's voice and the variety of topics that she writes about -- hilarious to heart-breaking and back again. I'm also enjoying her critiques of other books, how she's introducing me to them and building on the ideas (good and bad) introduced by others. I feel inspired and challenged to read more, as though I've just walked into a very interesting conversation that's been going on for a while, and I want to catch up.

I only know Roxane Gay from her Twitter feed -- I finally picked up this book this past weekend and I am excited to dive in.

I love Roxane Gay's criticism & admire her for saying thing someone else would be too frightened to say, such as myself.
She really got me thinking when she said that if you observe something you're uncomfortable about and you stay silent, it could be interpreted as agreeing with it. I might try to speak up from now on.
