Glad to see your 5 stars, Amy. I loved her 1st book. This newer book's been on and off of my TBR a lot. It's going back on!
I did both her books on audio, and I recommend that!
Unbelievably well done! Compelling, powerful. Truth that needs to be told! Angie Thomas does it again! Manages to teach through fiction that is accessible, powerful, and probably is the truth.
A perfect read for those, especially young people. who really want to understand the experience of inequity in black experience. Stars a 16 year old girl, a rapper, an instant superstar, who needs to speak her truth. The book is her coming to figure out what that is and who she is. Its a sensation and I nearly cried several times.
