I've always meant to read this book but never actually got round to it although I've had the film for years I've never actually watched it so I feel I should read the book first.

I've not read or watched The Kite Runner, but I'd definitely like to read it, as I enjoyed A Thousand Splendid Sun's. Let us know how you get on!
And I feel the need to justify myself by saying that Auto correct added that "greengrocer's apostrophe" for me in my previous comment, not me!! :)
I read this book years ago and it remains one of my favorite books. There were times that I had to set the book down and step away from it because it was too emotionally charged. That's not a complaint, it is one of the highest compliments I can give a book. I am very impressed by how well Khaled Hosseini describes the culture as well as daily life in Kabul.

Although it is quite sad (which isn't a criticism) it's a very interesting and moving read which I would really recommend.
I just started this book for my third week choice... Will come back and edit this once finished. I'm a few pages in but so far I'm hooked!
This is the one I choose too, but i just started it, bc my friend just lent it to me. I'll be back once i'm done I've heard great things. :)
