Post the title, description, and your opinion of the book you read. Maybe mention who recommended it and why.

Liz (lizhughes) | 13 comments At the recommendation of Christina, I listened to the audio version of The White Cat by Holly Black.

Jesse Eisenberg (spelling?) was the perfect narrator for this story, as I think Christina said. His tone, voices and pacing made this a fantastic listen and even prompted me to request the next two books to listen to on my drive to work. It was a good story, decent characters and the perfect way to pass my time in the car. Would def recommend, and already have, to others to give it a go.

Cinder First my friend Christine said to read it. About 30-50 pages in, I just couldn't get into it. So I set it aside and, some months later, Jess said to read it via audiobook. And voila! At first I was like "hmmm" and felt it at times very predictable, but I find myself intrigued and wanting to continue the series anyways. A fun twist on a classic tale.

Katherine | 52 comments Moonwalking with Einstein: The Art and Science of Remembering Everything by Joshua Foer was recommended to me after I told a friend I was looking to improve my memorization skills. I found the book mildly useful in the few techniques it demonstrated but was mostly disappointed. The book is marketed as portraying the art and science of memorizing everything, but the author mainly focuses on his journey to competing in the U.S. Memory Championship. I think I was expecting it be a how-to book and it was more of an account of his training.
