this is my favorite shadowhunters' series at the moment! but who know tlh and twp may become may favorite over time :)

I don’t know this is literally my all time favorite right now. I think if one were to top this is would be TWP

Hmm this is my 3rd favourite (after TID and TLH). I just prefer the Victorian and Edwardian settings to the modern ones. That being said I am re reading LoS and QoAaD soon! I just feel not as connected to most characters in this series

That’s understandable I love reading in the Victorian era. I think I just fell in love with the blackthorn family. And Emma ofc.

i just re-read LoS and and god i forgot how much i love these books. i will re-read qoaad and cog really soon

tlh will most likely become my favorite, but i want to first read chain of iron before i make up my mind and decide which i like more

Oh nice ! That’s pretty close to my order. I don’t want to set that in stone because each book Cassie writes she gets better. So I have a feel that the wicked powers is going to be wonderful

yeah same, i am really excited to read twp since i really want to know what has happened between tda and twp and also i hated how things were left off between ty and kit. also what do you guys think it's going to happen to livvy?

during this re-read of tda i realised that i never thought about what could happen to livvy in twp

OMG LIVVY !
I don’t think that’s going to end well. Which is tough because she’s already dead :( but you can’t bring someone back from the dead (well partially) and expect no consequences. I’m super excited to read about Kits powers. He seems SUPER POWERFUL. And I didn’t like how they left things unresolved between kit and ty but at the same time that’s going to be the MC’s of TWP
Also Sebastian and the faerie queens son, his name slipped my mind, is catching my attention. Especially his fondness of Dru.

well, technically, jesse will be brought from the dead in tlh. although i doubt cassie will do it twice. but we also have to take into consideration that livvy may not (i doubt she is) a normal ghost

yeah! kit's powers got me really intrigued! i'm curious if at the beginning of twp, he will be able to control them or not even know how to use them

omg ash! i forgot about him. i really want to know more about him. will he be a villain in twp?

from what i read online jamie and ash should/could be dru's love interests. will there be another love triangle?? or what is cassie planning for these kids?

the person I want to see in TWP the most is Jaime. He’s so Mysterious and the stuff Diego said about him make me really interested and invested in his character!
Yeah I think TWP May be Cassie’s best work in terms of writing, but for me I’ll also have to see how I feel about the MC’s. I don’t think she can beat the TLH or TID gang.
Although I kinda am bummed that Kit has powers. I kinda wished that we had a MC who is totally normal and has no special stuff but ends up doing amazing stuff.
But the thing I really am hyped for is the ending. Like how will it end? Who will the villain be?
I hope the villains aren’t the Fae thigh.

Also I am super forgetful sometimes, but what were Kit’s powers? I thought we knew he had some but not what they were

i don't really remember what powers kit had, like i read qoaad right when it appeared in 2018. so there are a lot of things that happened in this book that i don't remember, that's ine of the reasons to why i stared re-reading this series :)
but wait a bit, i am goign to look on google to see if it says anything about this

Lol okay, I’m re reading too bc I swear half the ppl mentioned I don’t remember and I finished this series in April😫
Lmao my problem with it is that they were too many ppl that we didn’t really get to meet. Like a bunch of ppl at the end and all that.
In other books we have big casts but we all meet them at similar times and learn about them but in TDA we met all these new ppl in the last book in like the last half too😂

yeah. in the last 20 pages of lord of shadows there' literally a foreshadowing to (view spoiler)[ livvy's death (hide spoiler)]. i doubt cassie wrote that part expecting that someone will realise it's tied with livvy when they first read it, but god i cannot believe i have not remember that

Okay so remember those Manhattan riders? I don’t know if that’s what they were called but they were SUPER powerful and had been around for centuries. Emma killed one, but they came to attack kit and he literally grabbed them all I flung them superrrr far. And he did it without a second thought. I know this series has been going on forever but I’m really not ready for it to end!!

in the end no. but he may steal her and the others go on a mission to save her, since plotwise that would make a great book (i've done a poorly job of explaining this but i hope you udnerstood what i meant)

And yeah maybe but low key feel it’ll be like LM where we have a villain in book 1 that sets the plot up but isn’t the most important in the end. That Jace has the connection to Ash but other than that he’s honestly just sad and broken.

Very true. Poor ash I really hope they give him a chance.

read the first 3 mortal instruments book, then the infernal devices, then the last 3 tmi books. or you could just read them in the order that they were released

do you guys think that matthew and cordelia will kiss in choi?

No bc Cordelia said she would have no faithlessness or cheating from James (she didn’t want him to be with someone else while they had their sham). So if Cordelia kissed Matthew she would sorta be breaking her own rule and furthermore, it doesn’t seem like something she would do either way.

Also I’m not sure with Cordelia. I really hope James takes off that bracelet and grace can fall off a cliff as well.
I initially shipped Matthew with Lucy. But now Lucky seems to be wanting Jesse which is going to end badly if she tries to resurrect him :/

i think her name is Filomena. i occasionally look on cassie's boards on pinterest and on her tlh board she saved a pin with a girl dressed in an edwardian style dress and underneath she wrote Filomena.

i hope he takes it off to... i read something on cassie's tumblr that he will try to take it off in ChoI and if i remember correctly she said that something bad or strange will happen when he tries to. i've seen online a few theories that cordelia may take his bracelet off with cortana. that would be cool if it happen lol

i shipped lucie and jesse from the beginning. i've always thought that she and matthew just don't really fit. i don't ship him with cordelia either, but i really hope that cordelia will help him

Also I am really eager for Grace’s redemption arc! I already like her and find her interesting so I am really excited to see it:)
Also can I propose a Charles redemption arc? He could get a Percy Weasley esque arc to redeem himself

Also I kinda think matter and the Italian girl could become a new ship? But really I feel he won’t have a solid relationship until the end of the series

i've seen all of cassie's tumblr posts. after chain of gold i felt liek i needed more so i starting reading everything she posted there lol. she even answer a few of my questions!

yes, i really want to see grace's redeption arc. i'm not sure if the end i'm going to like her, but i'm really interested in her character. i want to know more about her. shy doesn't she remember her parents? she was old 9 i think when they died. she should remember at leats something. how did she wind up with tatiana? i have so many questions!

yeah, especially since in the family tree there isn't much said about matthew. i don't trust the family tree, but still there are some things that may be true in it.

“I’ve been trying to hate you,” Thomas said quietly, “for what you did to Matthew. You richly deserve to be hated for what you have done.”

Alastair’s dark eyes glittered. “It wasn’t just his mother I slandered. It was your father, too. You know it. So you don’t have to—to act all high-minded about this. Stop pretending you are only upset on behalf of Matthew. Hate me on your own behalf, Thomas.”

when i started reading chain of gold, i expected to really not like alastair, but somehow cassie made me like him. i really want him to have a happy ending...

But another comment.. TDA was the hottest book in terms of romance, so I wonder how the rest of TLH will go. I mean we have an engagement already in book 1, and Cassie said there is an engagement and ‘at least one’ wedding in COI. What do u guys think?

i don't really think matthew will get married in choi. he has so many things going on, that i doubt he will marry

i think it's more likely to be james and cordelia's wedding
