Honestly it took me a little bit to get into strange the dreamer. It was really lyrical but eventually it sped up and I found myself read this book and loving the writing style. I thought it was so beautiful.
i usually really like lyrical writing. for example the night circus, which has very lyrical writing is ine of my favorite books. for me it is taking me so long to read them bc everytime i look them up on the internet to buy them they are expensive as hell.
Very true I had that problem too. But Minya I jumped between hating her and sympathizing with her. It’s like Laini Taylor made this book specifically to confuse our emotions. The only person I could truly hate was Skathis
Hm yes , ialso had that problem with the first book in this duology it was very hard coming in but once i was in i did really loved it , Laini Tayllor just has a way with words that feels so magical , buuut i loved muse of nightmares way more then strange the dreamer because it was just full of twistst , emotions ,depht also about Miya her charracter and backstory and i loved that and it was not boring at all. Did you guys liked the first or the second one more in this duology?
The second book is better then the first book because they no longer have to take the time to set up the world and everything going on. It literally starts right after strange the dreamer ends. Which is super cool
One of the most interesting aspects for me was the world building. Not only was Taylor able to set up a wonder filled world but set up an intricate multiverse. I'm very torn on which book I prefer but I really loke Strange because of how well it sets up the setting.
I agree. Initially the amount of detail was somewhat annoying but then I came to appreciate the fact that I felt like I was in the book. For me the details just made it seem so much more real.
I haven't read this one yet, but the author lives in my city so I see her at the bookstore a lot. I really feel like I should get around to reading the book soon...
