I'm pretty sure Hallie already knew but we will see how this plays out. I thought it was an interesting way for her to oust her identity. Honestly if I were a parent and I found out my babysitter left my kids with some stranger she'd be fired in an instant. I do babysit so I was shocked to see what Hallie did. She's obviously not a responsible care taker.

I can't get a read in Josh - I'm not sure if he's innocent or in on it with his sister. I think now that Hallie might not actually know who she is but doesn't want her to be with Josh or something and became a mean person after the whole incident when they were 11 and the tides were turned. Ford seems like a good guy and if this is a trilogy, I'm not sure if we are going to get a clear love interest in this one - might be a triangle. Gemma seems very clueless to me - that's my only complaint. For a kid who schemes so well at 11, she is pretty dumb for 16.... Just saying lol

I was thinking the same thing she does seem pretty clueless. I don't know about you but I'm kind of tired of love triangles in teenage novels. I almost never see them in adult novels so I don't understand why every YA book series has one. I want to know more about both Josh and the other guy before I pick a "team".

I'm glad the secret came out because, while I think Hallie already knew, at least Gemma won't be so naive anymore. It was getting on my nerves. I think Hallie might keep pretending she doesn't know. I'm pretty sure that I will like Ford more than Josh.

The twins reminded me of my triplets. Yes how chaotic it was that's how it was in my house for many years. They were always destroying or getting into something. For at least 7 years I couldn't even read. But I certainly agree I would be very upset if my babysitter just left. I haven't had any babysitters with mine except for mom and mil.

Ford seems very nice.
