katy finds out that he's blake's "uncle"...she finds a picture on the internet about him being the step-brother of blake's dad...my question is katy mentions brian having a resemblance to blake...but it doesn't make sense..can someone explain?

I'd say the two comments are probably unrelated, or just incorrect foreshadowing by the author. If Brian isn't blood-related to Blake, then they wouldn't necessarily look alike/ have the same genes.

It's just strange because when she's looking at the obituary she talks about how similar Brian Vaughn looks next to Blake's dad but then the paper lists him as the step brother...
