Amy wrote: "For Elizabeth I pick The Vine Witch and Ora and the Old God .Both sound like interesting reads."Amy could you pick one more book please? Ora was taken off Netgalley & Vine Witch is taking forever to get here.
I finished The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo last night. I really enjoyed it! I couldn't wait to get home from work and read more of it. I really loved the plot. If you are into old Hollywood and the secret life of its stars and producers, you may like this book. I would give it 5 stars for enjoyment alone. As for the writing, one complaint I saw in reviews was that the writing was juvenile at times. I agree with that. There were a few lines that were cringe-worthy throughout. Overall, I enjoyed it and it kept me interested.
I finished the Da Vinci Code last night. I gave it a 4 star because while I enjoyed it, Angels and Demons is still my favorite Dan Brown book. Brown does thorough research, to the point where I usually have to look up what is factual vs. fictional. I also like fast paced books becasue it keeps my attention through the entire book. I read >100 pages while camping this past weekend. Thank you Carrie for the selection.
