Hi there, I'm Amelia Nichole! I read my first Star Wars book over ten years ago! :OMy favorite series are the X-wing series (especially Wraith Squadron) and the Thrawn Trilogy.
I plan on specializing in all things Thrawn related because I love the intrigue and clever plots. Currently, I am collecting all of the books from the Hand of Thrawn series.

I'm Nana. Ive been readimg Star Wars books for as long as I cam remember. I specialize in The KOTOR era of legends and it's my fav. My second FAV are the books by E.K. Johnston.
I don't really know anything before rise of empire(33-0 BBY) and earliest in timeline book that i have read is 1 old republic book.
Hello there, my name is Lance Shadow! I enjoy both legends and the new canon continuities when it comes to Star Wars, but I've been reading legends specifically since about 2013 ish when I read Karpyshyn's Revan novel. If novelizations of episodes 1-6 count as legends material I've been reading legends for longer than that. I am currently reading through the New Jedi Order right now but my specialty is the Old Republic. My favorite legends novel is Matthew Stover's Revenge of the Sith novelization, but if I can't pick a novelization I'd go with Heir to the Empire. However, if I have to be honest I read the comics far more than the novels. In that regard, my favorite legends comic (as well as star wars comic period) is John Jackson Miller's Knights of the Old Republic, and nothing else comes close. Actually, it blows almost every star wars novel I read out of the water too.
Hi there, I'm Jasmine! I've been reading Star Wars books for as long I can can remember. I've read the X-Wing series (Rogue and Wraith Squadron) inside and out, so I would say I specialize in those books! My favorite eras are the prequels and classic up to The Force Awakens. My current favorite Star Wars book is probably The Krytos Trap.

I'm working on them a bit. I have 3 chats up, and if you want more, you can make them. They R in New Republic folder.
Hey there I am Trisha, I admit I am aware of the books, but haven't read any...not in a long, long time anyway! Ashamed to say that being a really big Star Wars fan, eek. Nice to meet you all.

Thanks! I will probably make chats for the rest of the books in the future. I'm going to be re-reading all of the X-Wing books soon so I'll try to do full spoiler and non-spoiler reviews!
Hi, I'm Cooper and it's been a little while since I've read Star Wars Legends books but am currently getting back into them. My first introduction to Legend was the awesome Thrawn Trilogy a few years ago, which I followed up with the Han Solo Trilogy and two thirds of The Bounty Hunter Wars Trilogy. I'm currently reading Tales From Jabba's Palace as an introductory back into Legends and am hoping to read many more in the future.
How about these favorites of mine?
- The Truce at Bakura by Kathy Tyers
12 hrs after ROTJ
great sequel
Star Wars Legends group's Truce at Bakura thread
The awesome X-Wing books
-Rogue Squadron
-Wedge's Gamble
-The Krytos Trap
- The Bacta War
- Isard's Revenge
- all by Michael A. Stackpole.
and these books by Aaron Allston:
Wraith Squadron, Iron Fist, Solo Command, Starfighters of Adumar and Mercy Kill.
Fate of the Jedi series (book 1 is Outcast) is good. You should have read many other books to understand it well. I read it after skipping almost all of New Jedi Order and all of Legacy of the Force and Hand of Thrawn. Did fine with Wookiepedia. It is by Troy Denning(wrote Tatooine Ghost, another good book), Christie Golden(wrote Dark Disciple, Battlefront II: Inferno Squad and a thing each for From a Certain Point of View and From a Certain Point of View: The Empire Strikes Back) and Aaron Allston(writer of X-Wing books).

I haven't read any of those actually. I read the thrawn trilogy, then got deep into the old republic, and now I'm revisiting the skywalker EU with the new jedi order.just finished jedi eclipse (YIKES) but so far the series as a whole is decent.
Thanks for the recommendations! I've heard a lot of really good things about the X-Wing books, I'll have to check them out! The Truce at Bakura isn't one I've heard as much about but, I'll definitely check it out. Twelve hours after Return of the Jedi? I always thought they just partied with the Ewoks for a week strait! Anyways thanks for the recommendations! I'll be checking them all out!
Hi, I'm Jerdan_girl. I've read two or three books about Kenobi Jedi career around 2010 then my interest turn elsewhere. This year I read the clone war series (my favorite so far), I've started reading the novelization of the movies (Finished episodes 4, 1, and 2, just started 3), and I started the Republic Commando series. I'm really hoping there will be a move to make Legends back into Cannon. I would love more books from the clone wars or about clones after the war to be published. I would also love if they would novelize certain arcs from the clone wars series.
legends can still come back as an alternate timeline, i hope that happens, even if its just a limited capacity (mostly books and comics).
Hi everyone, I’m Melina and I’ve been a Star Wars fan since the 80s.First read was Lost Stars by Claudia Gray. It was underwhelming so I switched to Old Republic - Revan and became more excited to read more. I created several Goodreads to-read shelves by Star Wars era with all the current books and tracked over 270.... next book on my nightstand is Battlefront II. Plan to hit the used books store this weekend to scout out a couple of Old Republic hardcovers and get back in that era.
Hello, my name is Melina (hi to the other Melina😁). I just recently started reading Star Wars books. So far I’ve only read one legend, Heir to the Empire, I have the next book and I’m excited to read it hopefully soon. For canon I’ve read Catalyst and Rebel Rising. Right now my interest is in finishing the Rogue One books and The Thrawn Trilogy, after those I’d like to read more legends. Not sure which ones but I’ll decide where I want to go with those when the time comes.
Nice to meet you all😊

Wow, two Melina Star Wars fans! I have the Rogue One novels flagged on my TBR. I love the movie and story about flawed heroes.
Welcome to the club! I really enjoyed the Thrawn Trilogy, it's what got me hooked on Star Wars Legends as well. I haven't read Rebel Rising or Catalyst, are they any good?
Hey Cooper - When I first started looking into what books to read I saw so many people recommending The Thrawn Trilogy so that’s where I started, I’m excited to read the next one! Coming from someone who saw the Rogue One movie first, I thought they were good. I think they both did a great job of giving you the background of the characters and their relationships between one another and understanding them better.
If we include Jedi Apprentice and computer games like Rebel Assault 1 and 2 and Tie Defender as EU, then a long time, though I mainly got into the EU in 2014 once it was declared non canon. I started with Karen Travis's Republic Commandos series. Area of specialization: anything Thrawn related and prequel era through Return of the Jedi. I'm working on post Thrawn trilogy and X-wing series and looking to get into KOTOR.
Melina, thanks for the recommendations, I really liked Rouge One so I'll have to chech them out! I hope your enjoying the Thrawn Trilogy as well!
Hey guys!! I'm Charlene (you can call me Char, Charlie or Charlene) I have been reading the series since.......I think 5 years. (since 4th grade) I specialize in almost all of the books, I loved reading them and since I'm a star wars fan it's kind of hard to choose one favorite.

I recommend Outcast. It is good if you read a ton of other books first.

Hi, all.I am Don Brown in Stansbury Park, Utah. I have limited experience in the Star Wars Legends readings. Those books that I have read predominantly fall into the Rise of the Empire era, with a few Old Republic books ( Into the Void , Revan and Deceived ).
I wrote an article for UGeek magazine that explains how I got into Star Wars a few years ago. You can see it HERE if interested. Otherwise, I am here to see what Legends books are being read and plan to follow along if time and interest happen to converge.
Thanks for having me. May the Force be with You.
Welcome to the club! One of the things I really like about Star Wars Legends is that it really captures the since of adventure of the original trilogy. Legends really explores all of the corners of the Star Wars universe, and gives some back ground on all of those aliens and planets. If you like how big the universe of Star Wars, and wander what all could be out there, you'll probably enjoy Legends. I hope you enjoy the Legends books you read, I've had a lot of fun with them. I recommend checking out the Thrawn Trilogy, it really captures the feel of the original trilogy. Welcome to the club, and may the force be with you!

I agree, Sword of the Jedi should absolutely be revived as a book project. Christie Golden (who was set to write the trilogy) is still active in the Star Wars publishing/novel community (or at least her name is in the mix, she has published two canon novels to date), and Sword of the Jedi's description was already giving me a "new phase/soft reboot" vibe from the description. The series was specifically cancelled because of the canon reset, so it's a perfect candidate for an addition to the Legends universe. In today's day an age, if Lucasfilm wanted to continue legends as an alternate timeline in full (again, they should), it would work even better as a soft reboot for the post rotj skywalker EU, much like how The Force Awakens succeeded at being as such for the movies for the more casual fans in 2015 (I still have a big soft spot for the movie because of the experience of going to see it in the theater in December 2015 both on opening night with all the insane hype and then taking my parents and grandpa later on. even though I'm really not a fan of the worldbuilding in it and the ST as a whole made a bunch of mistakes later on/looking back. while I like those movies fine, I'm not going to act like they're perfect and I'm not going to try to argue with legends die hards who hate them. tangent over.)
In the end, for the sake of a healthy, united fandom, I see the continuation of the EU even in limited capacity as an important step and I'm still baffled as to why Lucasfilm hasn't even talked about it. Throughout these five years in the "Disney Era" I've noticed the fandom feels more united when there's something for every type of fan. The legends crowd is the only group that has been seemingly left out.
Bring legends books back!!! That includes SoTJ. I saw old Legends Boba Fett books for sale on Disney page with banner saying “Legends”. Disney, you can’t have your cake and eat it too! Bring back Legends SoTJ! What happens to Jaina Solo (view spoiler)? Does she die soon? What is Allana’s destiny (view spoiler)

I'm Akindle. I've been reading Star Wars Legends books since the start of this year. I am not sure what I am going to be specializing in and my favorite era is New Republic. My favorite book is Apocalypse, the last book in Fate of the Jedi.
