I also don't know much of what happened. Can someone explain? I don't have any social media so that's probably why lol
@Simple Porg, Rowling made extremely offensive comments about transgender people; that's why people hate her.@Adela, I agree 100%
I actually loved the Harry Potter books, and they meant a lot to me. Especially when I was younger. Bleh! I hate when authors turn out to be awful.
I don’t agree with what she’s posting out there, but I still admire her work. The Harry Potter books are still one of my favourite series, and usually when I read a book I don’t really care about the author, I just care about the writing, plot and characters.
Tbh I personally think it’s her opinion. We can’t change to if she doesn’t want to change it. Simple as that. She can continue to live a great life, I have no issues with it. I disagree with what’s seh says but she doesn’t know she’s wrong. But I will continue to love Harry Potter and read the books no matter what. I ain’t gonna let one person stop me from that

Lol, same! XD
I get that. Though it’s her opinion, she’s not really going about sharing it in the right way. I don’t have Twitter, so I don’t read her comments, since the attention and criticism she’s getting is probably just encouraging her to say more hurtful stuff and defend her opinion. But I agree what she’s doing is wrong, and you have all made good points!
Yeah but, even though it’s hurtful, it better we know about these things and can educate people so we don’t have issues like this in the future. Yes she can stop stating her opinions but quite frankly I don’t care. Don’t red her tweets, easy as that
lemon girl wrote: "ewww frick jk rowling"Mhm. She's just a horrible person. She had this really inspirational story, and then she's just horrible. I'm not even sure if her story's a thing anymore. I don't know if you guys have seen this, but she won some award a while back, given to her by this organization and this is something I've never, ever seen before, but they actually took it back because of recent tweets that were super transphobic and terrible. Honestly, it's her opinion, and she can think what she wants but she's using her amazing ablity for something horrible. I was planning on rereading the Harry Potter series but after reading some of this stuff there's no way I'm rereading it any time soon.
i still love harry potter because even though she created it, it truly belongs to the fandom. because clearly she’s been saying crap about her own series. like hermione’s white, not black, ron’s straight, not gay, and dumbledore and grindlewald were probably in a romantic relationship, but definitely not a sexual one
1. I still love Harry Potter. This has nothing to do with JKR. I like the fandom and the Houses and all the inside jokes. And the nostalgia is real. 2. JKR just keeps putting her foot in her mouth with all that "Hermione's in a wheelchair" crap.
3. She's also very transphobic, which I despise her for. They're people, not criminals.
Sofia, I don't know about #2. what's that about?
Haven't you heard those?1. Ron was black
2. They were all gay and Jewish
3. Hermione was in a wheelchair the whole time
JKR made them
Are you serious? No, I didn't hear of those before. Oh my god. Behold, JKR, the greatest liar in history.
well, it's all twitter causing drauma for everyone. but yeah, she said those things so she could have "diverse" characters. she couldna said that in the books?
Oh no, because when she wrote them nobody noticed that they weren't diverse. Ya know, sometimes you got to lie and change stuff to live up to the social standard. It doesn't matter what it was like before, it matters what it should be like now so she has to change them. Didn't you know that?
Hold up no offence but I don’t think some of those are right. She has Hermione as black, and a few other things but I don’t think she ever sis study were all Jewish.
she definitely wants to make her characters 'diverse' for all the wrong reasons
