Really? I rated it five stars but that's just cause Rowan was introduced in this book.. I found Manon and aedion's povs to be very slow and boring.

Aelin and Rowan's scenes were GOLDEN honestly even though some parts were slow I couldn't justify giving this book anything less than a 5 star
Omg I adored Manon’s parts🥺 and Aedion! Tbh I loved seeing the witches and they were just So cool idk how anyone finds them boring.
After pushing through the first two books I have finally gotten to Heir of Fire and I AM READDDYYYY. I honestly completely forget what happens in the book besides Rowan being introduced and what happens at the end.
Haha, same here. Rowan is the only reason that book gets a 5 star from me. The Manon and Aedion POVs in this book were pretty boring IMO, but they were pretty important so... but a book where Rowan gets introduced deserves nothing but 5 stars :D
Lol. Whenever I reread the books I skip most of the time all the other POV just so a can get some Rowan and cealena/aelin time.
I found the beginning of this one really slow. I think I stopped for a bit before coming back to it. But then the second half was golden. I also think it's my favourite cover of the series
OKKK i completely forgot about Sorscha! And i just read the part where Dorian first meets her and everything came flooding back to me! I can't handle it again! It's to much!
I forget about her a lot... I really wish sjm had developed their relationship more. Like, it apparently breaks him (dorian) but to me it felt too rushed. I guess because they had too little time? And plus, whenever I think of a healer in throne of glass, it's usually Yrene who comes to mind because um.. she literally killed Erawan so 😂
Ya she's a really nice character now that I'm reading about her again! And it def breaks Dorian. Ugh so many emotions :'( My other question was why did (view spoiler)
You don't need to use the spoiler tag here. The tag is only for like games and stuff where everyone might participate. Here I am assuming only those who have read the book will comment.
But anyway, in response to your question. They are mates, right (as she found out at the end of EoS. Please tell me you knew that. I said that because you commented on the beach scene topic so I'm assuming you've read it??). So he was just sorta drawn to her. If you remember in EoS (the beach scene itself, to be specific) he tells her that he... and now I am starting to be a little uncomfortable so you should just read that part in EoS and you'll get it. Sarah has explained, because well, we all know she doesn't get uncomfortable with explaning even the most smutty stuff in detail 😉

ooo ok, ya i wasn't sure what the policy was with the whole spoiler deal thing is. And yes I have read the series and I know they're mates but its been about 4 years since I've read it so some of the smaller details i forget
I just finished reading the part where Rowan says he had a mate but she died and i screamed at my book 'NO SHE WASN'TT YOU DUMB BOI YOUR MATE IS STANDING RIGHT INFRONT OF YOU'
I don't get why people make such a big deal about the bite thing. Rowan was trying to get her to release her more animalistic fae side (and yes we realise later there is more to it in EoS) and does an animalistic action to get there.
The bite was more than just to help her get more "animalistic". It was a sign that he wasn't able to resist her! Just read the part in EoS, ok now I'm starting to think it was in QoS, but he mentioned somewhere that he bit her because he couldn't resist. There. I said it :p
i feel like this is just really the book that changed the whole series. It gives the series as a whole somuch more depht and just really creates the series as it is. I personally loved Heir of fire somuch . It was definitly less action paced but i loved it because it really creates Caleana as Aelin and shows us her true story and deals with her emotions and overall it is really a story about emotional growth and i always love how Sarah does that. Also ofcrouse Rowan <3 i loved how they started of as friends and slowly grow and how Rowan and Aelin can be there for eachother.
I agree! I think this book is my favourite in the series because the emotional growth of the characters was just so well done and the development of Aelin and Rowan’s friendship was 😘👌
This book was definitely amazing! Not just because of Rowan (tho that plays a huge part in its greatness <3) but because the way Celeana transitioned so beautifully to Aelin in this one...
Do you know where Sarah intended to use the bonus chapter? The one where an ex-girlfriend of Rowan's visits Mistward?
Wait I do know this-
I think it was after she started training making fire shields and stuff. Kind of maybebefore Rowan saw her training alone and was shocked.

Ahaha yes Aelin being mad is always ICONIC - scary too cause she can literally burst into flames, but iconic nonetheless :D
I’m finally re-reading Heir of Fire and it’s so exciting! I am dreading what happens with poor Dorian and Sorscha though 🥺😭 and I know this book is a huuuuuge turning point for Celaena/Aelin and her healing and accepting who she really is. And of course Rowan is finally here!!! 😊
Yes! Her character development is amazing in this book. Honestly one of the best character developments I’ve seen in a series. And I think Rowan really helped her heal and All of the others in Wendlyn with her like Luca and them. But most of all she helps herself heal. Also we get introduced to Manon in this book! 😍 her character development in the series is amazing as well.
How do you imagine Manon? I’m imagining her kind of as like the white witch in The movie The Forbidden Kingdom.
And Rowan reminds me of gelert in the Witcher but just with a tattoo lol
It’s crazy because when I first read the series how I imagined the characters is completely different than now.
I also imagine Celaena as Nicola Peltz she just fits her so perfectly to me 🥰
I imagine Manon usually the same way as the fanart of her in my copy of KOA, if anyone else has the same
I'll be honest with you I find it really hard to imagine Manon physically, I still have to search some fan art, I'm waiting till the end of the series bc I'm too scared of spoilers (I spoiled myself SO MANY things in ACOTAR with fanart this is a new rule of mine lol)
For me i imagine the characters like this for this time I’m re-reading the last time was completely different lolNicola Peltz as Celaena/Aelin
Steve Lund as Chaol
Brant Daugherty as Dorian
Kat Graham as Nehemia
Henry Cavill(Gelert from the Witcher) as Rowan
The White Witch from the Forbidden Kingdom as Manon
Chris Hemsworth as Aedion
Phoebe Tonkin as Lysandra
A younger Catherine Zeta Jones as Maeve
And so on lol but just to name some main characters.
Same here I was thinking of who would fit her best and no one was working and then I was re-watching an episode of the Originals and I was like Yessss! That’s Lysandra! 😍
When Murtaugh went riding and started spreading the news about Aelin fighting General Narrok and his legion and that she was alive and the words “Hold on, the riders said. Hold on”I got literal chills at this part! ❤️😭 Aelin sending the message that she is fighting back and she is done hiding. Amazing.
I’m at the part where the king is about to have Sorscha killed and I just can’t take it 😭😭😭💔💔💔 poor Dorian
The way he crawls towards her as if he could put her back together I just…. *cries eternally * 😭😭😭💔 I just finished Heir of Fire and it’s so amazing. I love the growth of Celaena/Aelin in this book and how much she was able to heal. It was really amazing to read and I can feel the emotions coming from the pages.after she defeated the Valg princes and General Narrok and when Murtaugh went riding to spread the word that Aelin was alive and was coming. “Hold on the riders said. Hold on.”
Literally gave me chills and I can feel the hope coming from the pages of the book. Truly amazing.
The fact that Manon is in this book is just *Chefs kiss* I am obsessed with her, my favorite character! I know technically she kills people and rides a dragon and has weapons for nails but SHE KILLS PEOPLE AND RIDES A DRAGON AND HAS WEAPONS FOR NAILS!!!! (It's all about how you look at her)
